Last Year This time last year, Utrophia hosted The Deptford Machine by Ben Parry. An intricate and inspring kinetic sculpture made entirely of things found in Deptford and built on site. Here is a great video by Phil Denvir, capturing 'Channelling the Machine' - a musical event curated by Extra Bones, in which bands were invited to make music with and inspired by The Deptford Machine iteslf. It also features a couple of the drawings from some of the childrens workshops based around it too.

Such a great project! And although this blog is primarily about looking forward to this years event - its a great excuse to share this video again :)
