I headcannon that both Ben and Gwen are blind as bats(that twin vision) and since they didn’t like wearing glasses they wore contacts.

Gwen started wearing glasses because it bothered her how her contacts would fall out almost every battle. Ben still wears the contacts anyway since he doesn’t like people making fun of his glasses(he wears them at night only)
