Aww, poor Boris...
Hey, look, a toolbox! That wasn’t there before! I wonder if I can...
This game is just as creepy and scary as I was hoping it would be.
BatIM Predictions
(Makin a prediction post cuz why the heck not xd. I’d like to see how wrong I am when the updates drop)
Chapter One:
We will have to find battery packs around the studio and use them to power certain machines. One will be required to raise the Ink Machine.
All of the doors on this level of the studio will be unlocked and accessible.
Henry’s desk will be in its own room instead of shoved into an awkward nowhere hallway.
The items to power the ritual will be placed in more thematic areas (i.e. the record could be placed in the hidden music room, the ink pot could be near an animation desk, etc.)
“Bendy”‘s jumpscare will involve a chase instead of just a grabby arm.
Chapter Two:
Wally’s closet will include actual janitorial supplies and not just some candles and soup.
(Bonus: Somewhere along the way, we may find something to do with the other key that was on Wally’s ring.)
Sammy’s Sanctuary will actually look like a sanctuary, instead of just a hallway with some shelves and an ink valve.
We will be able to actually access the Infirmary, perhaps getting a glimpse of the infamous wheelchair...
Sammy’s model and animations will be updated. (PLEASE)
Chapter Three:
Boris will actually emote (as best he can), to at least prove that he understands our speech.
Boris will actually drink the soup with an animation.
Various glitches with pathing and AI will (hopefully) be fixed.
The Borises and Butcher Gang clones that are in Alice’s lair will actually look different from one another.
Chapter Four:
The empty cans of bacon soup will be able to be used as a sort of one-time distraction, where you throw it and any enemies nearby will rush to it and investigate.
The strange machine seen in Alice’s teaser image will be used as a sort of trading mechanic, where you drop spare items into the top slot and useful items like weapons will come out of the bottom.
Wally will get another tape (at least), seeing as he’s the only one who’s had tapes in all the chapter’s so far.
We will find out who the heck is in the organ.
The vents will be used as a mechanic to reach various areas of the level. This is what the flashlight will be used for. “Bendy” will also try to chase you through them as well.
Sammy Lawrence will return, either as a secondary antagonist or an indirect ally, as he seems to dislike Alice Angel.
The theme park ride will be used to reach a different area of the studio, or as a sort of fast travel mechanic that you can use to get places without worrying about Bendy.
Alice will die, most likely by Bendy’s hand.
Henry will be taken to the top floor of the studio, to Joey’s office, to begin Chapter Five.
A thought
Judging from the sloped ceilings and actual window(?), it seems possible that when the remastered Chapter One releases, we will be able to get a pretty good idea of what the studio looks like from the outside.
HOLY FRICK (Remastered Chapter One)
UM! I didn’t see this one coming! Let’s get analysising!
So, the trailer starts with a simple sentence: Chapter 1, Like you’ve never seen it before. Straightforward enough. Then we get the first shot.
This is definitely the entrance to the studio. So far, no major differences, but it all just looks a lot more atmospheric. The lighting looks wonderful, it all looks more detailed, I dunno, but whatever they did, they did a darn good job.
Moving on.
The next line says: New visual upgrades. We will soon be able to see them...
This is a larger view of the workroom area from the start of the chapter. It all looks relatively the same except for...
The sign. GOOD GOD THE SIGN. Folks who have played the original remember it just being three film reels. It always felt like the studio was missing that grand sign at the entrance you know Joey would have made.
Okay. This looks to be the ritual room, but it looks totally better, especially at the end. The lever looks different, there’s ink and machinery everywhere, it all looks more like an actual mechanical area instead of. Just. A lever. Stuck in a wall.
The next line says: “New rooms.” So far, we haven’t seen any, but now...
There appears to be a room dedicated to organizing the machine. two signs near the left say “DANGER - KEEP OUT” and “WATCH YOUR STEP,” respectively. However the main thing of interest is this chart over here:
“Ink Output Schedule.” This appears to be a chart for organizing how much ink will flow from the Ink Machine on the days of the week. An interesting detail is that this chart has no “Sunday” on it. The ink seems to be pumping out at an average of 40 gallons a day, except for Saturday, where it starts pumping out a whopping 533 gallons! Maybe Joey was planning a large sacrifice to take place that day. An interesting note is, at the bottom corner are Thomas Conner’s initials. The curious thing is that they are in the blank labeled “Gent Off.” Perhaps this means that Thomas Conner is a repairman working for the company “Gent” whose name we know from around the studio as being on pipes and various mechanical workings. This seems to imply that Thomas is not a full-time worker at the studio, like we previously suspected.
This next shot features what appears to be a stage area. There is a side door, all boarded up with planks, that leads to a bathroom with a Bendy cutout and a toilet. (I, for one, would definitely break that thing before using the facilities.) What’s interesting here is that there appears to be a typewriter on the table in the far left, something we have never seen in the game before. Additionally, there is a gearbox on the stage area. More decorative flair, perhaps, or an optional collectible?
What’s curious about this room is that it looks to be an elevator shaft of some kind. There is a new type of lever with a lightning symbol next to it.
The next line reads: “New secrets.” (Looks like my secret-hunting will not just extend to Chapter Four, if I can get my stream working.)
This is another chest, but it has an item in it that we have never seen before. It looks like some sort of battery. It is glowing in the way that marks an obtainable item, but what could we possibly use it for?
This clip shows Henry pulling a lever, but, judging from the display panel next to it, it appears to be the power lever for the Ink Machine. No surprise there.
This next shot shows Henry on what seems to be a balcony overlooking the shaft room we saw earlier, but the main interest here is the strange machine in the foreground. When Henry interacts with this switch, it appears as if there’s nothing else to do, but look closer:
After the switch is pressed, the empty area next to it begins to glow. Perhaps this is where we will need to place the battery packs that were found in the chest, to power various machinery around the studio and access hidden rooms.
The next line reads “Runs on more computers” (HALLELUJAH)
This shot shows a hallway that seems to be pretty much identical to the one leading to the ink flow room, but there appears to be a new door on the right wall. Hmmm...
This appears to show an animator’s room. There is a coat rack to one side, several Bendy posters along the walls, a trash can, and some snazzy-looking light tables, presumably used for animation. (Also, I can make out some new animation frames)
This shot shows the camera panning across the ritual room, where we can see that the book, the wrench, and the gear have all been placed in their respective pedestals. Nothing new here.
The next line reads “Free update.” Then it cuts to a familiar hall.
This is almost certainly the central hallway that leads to the power room. Good to see some things never change.
Oh my good lawd. Everything looks so much better here! Boris, the table, the lighting... ugh, everything!
(the next scene simply pans through the JDS sign we saw earlier, so I’m not gonna show it here)
The next line reads: “Coming this month.”
(Then it cuts to another shot of the same room with the animation desks. My time’s running short as it is. My, that Bendy does look sexy.)
(The next shot also shows the ritual room. I need to save space)
This next shot shows the updated ink flow room, with a Bendy gif that actually looks projected!
The next line says “With the release of Chapter 4″
Then... oh boy!
We see what is MOST CERTAINLY the Ink Machine being risen from the place that I thought was an elevator shaft. Looks like we’ll need to gather some of those batteries to get it out.
Then it says “Hurry. Download Chapter One now. To play the original one last time.”
BENDY AND THE INK MACHINE
*faints* My analysis is over, thank you!
