A follow up to our past post about sherlollians - or should we say beneloos? - being a little obsessed with Louise and Ben. It’s a well-known fact that Lou has been infatuated with Ben and still is, and what with sherlollians lavishing upon her and shipping her with Ben (granted some of these are before he married Sophie, but there are also some that were made AFTER), it’s a wonder why they ship Molly with any one of Ben’s characters.

Some johnlockers play with the fantasy of Freebatch (Martin and Ben) but it never was like this. It didn’t go as far, like, “if Martin is with Amanda then he and Ben can never be together *sob*” or “they should sleep together that would just be the cutest thing ever.” We never hoped that Martin and Amanda would break up, and when they did, it was a sad time for a lot of the fans, and we wished them all the best. When Ben fell in love with Sophie and married her, it was hard to find anyone in the fandom that wasn’t thrilled about it. But we never “went after” Amanda or threatened Sophie. That’s such a terrible accusation, it makes us nauseous, and we have to pause and wonder how that came into play. The only reason we think such an accusation exists is because 1) Johnlockers ship John and Sherlock so we must be “women haters” and/or 2) some of us like Ben and Martin.  *major eye rolling here*

Is shipping Sherlolly fine? Of course it is! But this over-the-top fawning over two people that were never together, wishing they were married - even when Ben was dating Sophie, engaged to Sophie, married to Sophie? CRINGE FACTOR ACTIVATED.

We’re also curious at why some antis were accusing us of being the ones not happy about Ben’s marriage. Where the hell did they get that? Is there any reason that WE, johnlockers, would have been unhappy about Ben finding happiness? No. There is none.

There was no doubt a small portion of Ben’s fans being unhappy, and going so far as running blogs dedicated to dragging Sophie and calling her a ruse to promoting Ben’s popularity. (....And... yes, they’re still doing that today, even after Sophie has had two babies. You think it’s disgusting now, you should have been around when it started.) None of them were Johnlockers.

Or was it the sherlollians who were unhappy, seeing that their dream of Lou and Ben tying the knot would never happen, and covered their devastation by pointing their fingers at others? It makes perfect sense! Seeing that they fawned over those two for the longest time, and claimed to be heartbroken “if it didn’t happen” or if one of them was in a relationship with another person.

Seriously, we mean.... talk about a bunch of shippers so INVESTED in their OTP that they wish the actors and actresses that played those characters would get together in real life.

Just to rub it in the face of some Beneloo shippers, here are some photos of Ben IN LOVE with Sophie classy-af-mother-of-two-opera-director Hunter. QUEEN.

P.S. Louise? This infatuation with a married man? It’s childish and immature. “Go read some fucking Chekhov.”

I’ve been looking at the collection of ‘real’ (not manipped) Beneloo pictures that I have saved on my phone (yes, I have a collection; unfortunately, it’s a rather small one), and I came to this. I looked at it for a second and was about to skip it for the next picture when I remembered an old comment about how it looked like Loo was sitting on Benedict’s lap. I looked closer, while thinking to myself that it definitely seemed that way from afar, then that got me truly noticing: Loo’s wedged between Benedict and the chair’s arm-rest. We know how small the space of Sherlock’s black leather chair is (correct me if I’m wrong, but whenever Sherlock sat in it, he seemed to take up almost all the space, and in that HLV scene with Janine sitting in his chair with him, she looked also wedged in the space), so why would Loo be sitting in what seemed to be a tight spot? Unless it was a spur-of-the-moment one-time thing (Loo saw Benedict sitting in it and suddenly decided ‘oh I’m gonna take a picture with him and post it online’ and then took the picture and then presumably immediately left the chair). But they just seemed so…comfortable in the picture. Which led me to think that maybe they had been sitting in that position for quite some time already, and someone decided to take a ‘candid’ picture of them. Why Loo decided being wedged in the same chair as Benedict was a great place to sit in, we’ll never know. But you ain’t hearing me complainin’. Also I just love how they both linked their fingers. *shrugs*
