My take on the cast of the Chaos Walking trilogy!

Well, I didn’t include every single one, since some of them are barely present, but these are the characters I had a clearer picture of in my head or stood out to me more. Of course some compromises were made for reasons of character design, but otherwise they’re as close as I thought was best to how I picture them while reading.

I’m really satisfied with how a lot of these came out, especially some favorite side characters. I’d love to know which faces you liked best!

Todd Hewitt-The Knife of Never Letting Go

My name is Todd Hewitt.

I was born on New World after my parents came here to start a new life. My father was killed in a war with the native people, and my mother died of illness.

I was raised by two brave men called Benison Moore and Cillian Boyd. I grew up on the farm. I fed the sheep, and I did the chores.

I grew up in Prentisstown. I never learned to read. I never had any real friends of my own except for a ruddy dog named Manchee. I never knew anything but what I was told, which wasn’t much. I’d never seen a woman or a girl.

When I was 12 years old and had one month left ‘till I would be a man, I heard a break in the Noise. I told Ben, and everything changed for me. Forever.

Honestly, based on the original text, Todd’s hair keeps getting longer and messier over the course of the trilogy (at least in the first two books)

But… I kinda did the opposite.

Because I feel like in CW2 & CW3 he’s basically under the Mayor’s supervision, and there’s no way the Mayor would let him walk around with his hair all wild and chaotic every day.

Like… whoever raises you, you start to resemble them, right?.....
