My favorite dog.
I hope I didn't mess up the kanji too much.
The three main Tosa Inu fighting dogs in Ginga, probably the last of these clean Ginga group pics I'm gonna do
I'm pretty sure everyone can tell who's who but just in case it's Benizakura, Toube, and Musashi

Benizakura, the one they call “The strongest in the world.” (Edited)
Happy 39th anniversary to the Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin anime!
not to gintama on main yet again but when rereading the series the Benizakura arc (one of my favorites to reread) feels so strangely precocious.
It has the stakes and tone of the middle or even later serious arcs but 80% of the key factions and characters that would come to define those arcs are either absent (shinsegumi, 4 devas) or haven't been established yet (Yoshiwara, Yagyu, Kamui, etc). It lacks the color and variety in characters and humor, and even the setting of the final battle is set to a dreary cloudy sky and ocean.
It's like if in Ocarina of Time they're was an early mini-boss like encounter where Link fights Ganondorf before even meeting the gorons and zoras.
Or if Iron Man fought Thanos's army before Avengers (2011)
