Once Upon a Forest (1993)
R.I.P. Benji Gregory
1987 - Alf Loves a Mystery (TV short film; TV special)
Shannen Doherty starred as The Lady in Red in this TV short film special from the NBC aired on September 11, 1987.
ALF (short for Alien Life Form) uses his computer to create a story where Kid Cameron (Benji Gregory) is a gumshoe that is called to explore an old mansion to find a hidden treasure. The special featured popular tv stars like Shannen Doherty from "Our House", Betty White from "Golden Girls", Danny Ponce from "Valerie", Jackée Harry from "227", Heidi Zeigler from "Rags to Riches", and Stephen Furst from "St Elsehwere" TV shows.
NBC had a new batch of Saturday morning cartoons, and they created a primetime special specifically to promote it.
During their search, all the guests in the mansion manage to preview the NBC's Saturday morning schedule of 1987, that includes "Smurfs", "Alvin & the Chipmunks", "Adventures of the Gummi Bears", "Foofur", "The New Archies", "Fraggle Rock", and "ALF Tales"; and the quiz "I'm Telling!" (in which Shannen and her brother would later appear).

RIP Benji Gregory
It was reported yesterday that Benji Gregory, aka Brian Tanner from ALF, died last month on June 13. It is assumed that he died of vehicular heatstroke, along with his service dog, Hans.
As y'all know, I'm a huge ALF fan, so this comes to me as a pretty huge shock and tragedy. Brian was never the biggest character on the show, but he had some pretty memorable moments. My favorite may be his performance of the Asparagus song in "It Isn't Easy...Bein' Green".
RIP Benji and Hans. 🕊🕊 You will always been remembered. Many condolences to his family. And, while we're on the topic, be careful in the heat, y'all. Stay cool and hydrated.
