It’s been a while since you were sick. But now, the fever has hit you like a bus, unable to even look at your phone without feeling nauseous. Your boyfriend, Beomgyu, worriedly rushed to your house to take care of you (even though he has no clue what he’s doing).
“Hey,” Beomgyu gently greets, as he watches you open your eyes. A wet towel draped on your forehead.
“Hi,” You whisper, causing him to wince at your hoarse voice.
“What are you doing here?” you ask weakly.
“You told me, I quote: I’m dying. What was I supposed to do, ignore that?” He replies, setting the bag he brought with him next to your bag.
You let out a laugh, which quickly turns into a cough. Beomgyu’s expression shifts into full panic mode as he scrambles to hand you your water on your nightstand.
“Careful,” he murmurs, helping you sit up just enough to take a few sips. His hand stays on your back, steadying you.
“I’m serious though,” he says, when you calmed down a little bit. “You scared me.”
You blink up at him, eyes glassy with fever. “I didn’t think you’d actually come.”
Beomgyu scoffs softly. “Of course I’d come. What kind of boyfriend would I be if I left my favorite person to suffer alone?”
You give him a tired smile. “A smart one. I’m contagious, you know.”
“As if I care,” He replies, with a laugh. “Do you want to take a nap or what’s the plan?
“I dunno,” you mumble, sinking deeper into your pillow. “Talk to me? Just for a little bit, I like listening to you.”
Beomgyu pauses, slightly surprised by the request. But then he nods, shifting to sit more comfortably on the edge of your bed, one leg tucked beneath him.
“Okay,” he says. “Well, today was weird. I was supposed to have that meeting with the club president, right? But guess what? He completely forgot. So I sat in the café alone for twenty minutes trying to act casual and not like I’d been ditched.”
You listen quietly, the fever making your body ache and your mind foggy, but his voice cuts through all of it.
The room is dim, lit only by the faintest glow slipping through your curtains. He can’t see your eyes clearly from where he’s sitting, not really. He doesn’t notice the way you’re looking at him, like he’s the only thing in the world right now.
You’re barely following the story, but that doesn’t matter. His voice is familiar and safe, even when he’s ranting about how the convenience store ran out of his favorite snack.
“-and I swear, if that cashier rolls his eyes at me one more time, I’m going to file a complaint and leave a one star review.”
You smile faintly, your eyelids growing heavier by the second. But still, you don’t look away. You could listen to him forever like this.
Beomgyu lets out a breath and leans his head back against your bedpost, unaware of how your loving gaze on him.
“I know I’m rambling,” he mutters, almost to himself now. “But I just like talking to you, even when you’re not really responding.”
You let out a soft hum, and that’s enough for him to keep going.
And even as your eyes finally drift shut, he keeps talking, just in case you can still hear him. He hopes that the sound of his voice can bring you peace.
Not long after Beomgyu’s rambling you fall asleep, breathing soft and steady. Beomgyu stays by your side, careful not to move too much, his fingers brushing lightly over the back of your hand now and then.
Suddenly, there’s a quiet knock at the door.
He turns his head, startled, then tiptoes over and cracks it open. Your roommate, curious, peeks in.
“Oh, you’re still here,” She whispers.
“Yeah,” Beomgyu replies quietly, slipping out into the hallway and gently closing the door behind him so the noise doesn’t reach you.
“I was going to wake them up to eat something—”
“No, no, don’t wake them,” he says immediately, voice firmer than usual. “They’re sick. Let them rest.”
Your roommate raises a brow but nods, surrendering the tray. “Alright, nurse of the year. Are you sure you’re okay staying with them?”
“I want to,” he says simply, as if there’s no other answer.
Beomgyu moves quietly through your space, fluffing your pillow when you shift, checking your forehead with the back of his hand even though he doesn’t really know what he's doing.
He sits close but not too close, watching you sleep like you’re the most fragile and precious thing in the world. When you stir hours later, eyes barely opening, he’s right there.
“Hey,” he whispers, a smile tugging at his lips. “You didn’t miss much. I’ve just been here, playing on my phone, watching some Tiktok”
You smile faintly. “You didn’t have to.”
“I know,” he murmurs, tucking the blanket closer around you. “But I wanted to.”

a/n: I'm in my Beomgyu era bro, he's just so princess coded and I want to spoil him and do everything to him but bros a little teasing shit but I just thought of THIS one random day, but please, I need more of this stuff.
Okay, but imagine this:
We all know Beomgyu is playful and teasing by nature, we love him like that but I've never seen this applied in any fanfic.
I started to imagine him having a soft spot for his s/o, and with soft spot I mean that he won't tease you or make too many jokes on you, unlike his members, you're his whole world, and he can't help but be so soft and caring with you bc he loves u so much :(((
Imagine you're staying over at Beomgyu's, but he still share the dorms with his members, which is not a problem bc they love you and you love them too.
You can hear the yelling and bickering from out of the dorms, but once you knock the door, they stop and Beomgyu runs to open the door for you, bright smile on his face and his eyes sparkling with adoration.
You greeted him with a soft peck and entered the place, the rest of the guys greeting you as well but the bickering quickly started again
Yj: "Y/N, BEOMGYU ATE MY FOOD!"
Bg: "YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP!"
It's actually amusing.
But of course, you don't like your boyfie causing trouble to his members.
"Beomgyu" you said in a soft but still scolding tone, Beomgyu just whined while holding your hand, rolling his eyes at Yeonju's smirk.
"Fineeeee, I'll buy him another one" he groaned, pulling you towards him by the arm immediately, wrapping his arms around you in a gentle and caring manner, burying his face on the crock of your neck, smiling when your sweet and known (for him) scent.
You chuckled a little at his childish but sweet behavior, he always clung to you as much as he could, and you just loved it. You softly stroke his long hair, he moaned softly at the touch, feeling warm and fuzzy inside.
"You should move in here to control your boyfriend" Soobin said with a chuckle, smiling at the sweet scene.
"Or we can kick him out" Yeonjun said while rolling his eyes.
"HEY" you couldn't help but laugh, Beomgyu pouted at your laughs and rolled his eyes, kissing your cheek and taking your hand again "Let's go to my room, I don't want you near those dickheads" he said while dragging you to his room, locking the door while the rest of the members laughed.
"You know deep down you love them" you said while smiling, sitting on the bed while he went to sit down beside you, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you towards his chest while he laid down on the bed, dragging you with him.
"I love you more" he hummed, grabbing your hands and putting them on his hair, indicating you to stroke his hair, which you did immediately with a soft smile. He always was like this, soft, caring, gentle, warm.
He was always soft with you, every time you are with him you can feel the warmth and sincerity of his feelings, how he's always careful with you, as if you were the most important thing in the world, treating you as delicate as if you were made of glass.
That was Beomgyu with you, you were his weak point.
Beomgyu yawns softly as he makes his way into the kitchen, seeing you standing behind the stove as you're humming to one of your favorite songs. His lips curl into a smile as he walks towards you, wrapping his arms around your middle as he leans in to press a kiss against your cheek. Mumbling a soft 'good morning' before burying his face in the crook of your neck.
You let out a soft giggle as you feel your heart flutter. He's too cute for his own good sometimes.
"Good morning. Did you sleep well?"
"Hm. I did until you left."
You roll your eyes at his words as you turn around in his arms so you're facing him. In return wrapping your own around his neck as you pull him closer to kiss him softly.

‘the santa hat is really cute,’ beomgyu approached you, holding his hands behind his back. you lowered the glass you were sipping from, raising a brow at his sudden compliment. ‘cute on you.’
‘thank you,’ you smiled shyly, nervously tapping your fingers against your glass. ‘you look… cute, too.’
‘here, i have something for you,’ he brought one of his hands in front of himself, but it was tightly closed. ‘close your eyes.’
breathing out, annoyed, you closed your eyes and waited for him to allow you to open them again. when you were given the orders to, your eyes made their way up to his hand dangling mistletoe in the air above the two of you. your jaw dropped and you shook your head, looking around the room at all of the curious expressions.
‘beomgyu, put that away!’ you whisper-yelled, reaching for his hand. he just moved away in time, smirking at your failed attempt.
‘come on, y/n, it’s tradition,’ he teased, stepping closer. ‘if you’re caught under the mistletoe with someone, you have to kiss them.’
‘fine,’ leaning into him, you pressed a kiss to his cheek. ‘happy?’
‘not in the slightest,’ the mistletoe was dropped to the ground, your eyes following its quick movements. he cupped your jaw, pulling you into a kiss and cutting off your next attempt to speak. the heavy beating of your heart reaching your ears just about cut off the whistling and cheers from the partygoers. ‘so, how was that for my confession?’
‘confession— what?’ you gave him a confused look, still feeling dizzy from the kiss. ‘what? are you confessing to me?’
‘wasn’t it obvious?’ beomgyu smiled proudly at your flustered state. you grabbed his face and pulled him down for another kiss, no longer caring about everybody else at the christmas party.
He was sitting there across from you, his legs casually spread on the sofa as usual but his head hung low, noticing how his eyes were boring into yours. You watched how his eyes skimmed your frame in a descending manner, eyeing the fitting crop top that accentuated the curves on your chest, trailing down to your black, pleated skirt that had ridden up your thighs when you crossed a leg over the other, exposing more skin than usual if it wasn’t for your knee high socks.
It was obvious from the smirk growing on his face that he had something on his mind, something you were completely oblivious about. Yes, Beomgyu is extremely good looking, he was cocky too, a little too cocky for your liking, but there was something about the way he looked at you that entertained your reverie.
Another minute passed and he still didn’t say anything, “So are you going to explain why I caught you with another girl the other day?” it was evident in your tone that you were gradually losing your patience, ashamed enough that you wanted to leave his apartment.
Still nothing. He leaned closer, laying a hand on your thigh as you flinched from the contact. Feeling the warmth of his palm burning against the skin of your thigh while his fingers played with the pleats of your skirt.
“Why, are you jealous?” you scrunched your brows from his choice of words, losing whatever patience you had left before deciding to explode.
“No, Gyu, I’m not,” you snapped, “I’m simply asking why you’d want us to be exclusive if you’re just gonna go back to your old habits and hook up with other girls.”
“Look, baby,” he brought his other hand onto your inner thigh, gradually skimming higher up, caressing the skin without hesitation, “that girl was Yeonjun’s girl.”
“Okay, so how does that make it any better that you’re after Yeonjun’s girl?” You scoffed and rolled your eyes, still feeling his hand slowly moving up and down your thigh until you held his wrist at a halt.
“You know, jealousy isn’t a good look on you,” he chuckled lowly, his face dangerously close enough to have his lips ghosting over yours while he could feel the deep exhale you let out. “I was just keeping her company until Yeonjun finished dance practice, nothing more, nothing less.”
His voice was low, the huskiness making your core pulse, but that didn’t change the fact that you were still annoyed that he didn’t properly communicate with you earlier. You look up to meet with his eyes, pupils now dilated, imitating dark orbs he shook his wrist out of your hold, continuing to skim across the exposed skin until the tip of his index and middle finger trailed onto the damp spot of your panties. It didn’t take long for his cocky smirk to crawl back onto his face, satisfied as he watched your breath hitch at the contact.
“So are you fucking Yeonjun’s girl, Gyu?” you managed to say almost breathlessly while he chuckled under his breath.
Your lips were just mere millimetres away from each other and you resisted the urge to satisfy his needs. You knew how hungry Beomgyu was for your affection in any way, but you didn’t want to give it to him so easily. He paused, noticing your reluctance to further the action and took the opportunity to attach his lips onto the delicate skin on your neck, feeling him smile against you.
“Sweetheart, the only girl I’ll be fucking is you.”

silvery beams of moonlight poured into the room, through the window swinging on it’s hinge and the curtains flailing in the breeze, painting a bleak, eerie picture. the light crept up onto your skin, highlighting your crouched over figure tucked into the tight space between the bed and the windowsill. back against the bedside table, atop which the telephone off it’s hook lie, broken shards of glass are scattered by your feet. one such shard, gripped between your fingers.
I can’t. I shouldn’t.
I want to.
there is a loud BANG! and the floor trembles as feet slam against the wooden planks.
they search for the light switch, but beomgyu doesn’t need it to find you. he’d already made a dash for you the minute they’d pried the door open. his breathing erratic and tears rimming his eyes, he manages to stop himself at the cracking sounds from under his feet. sniffling, he lifts his feet and his eyes follow the trail before they meet with the soil on the carpet below your hand. his chest pushes and pulls as he chokes back his sobs.
the steps toward you were few, but slow – as if he were afraid that one fibre out of place would make you slip through his fingers forever – and then he fell to his knees, hot torrents of grief coursing down his face. he froze when he slipped the glass from your hand with ease, heart-rate quickening at your lack of movement.
“(y/n).” he whispers, fear unsteadying his voice.
no words could ever describe the relief he felt when you lifted your head to look at him; puffy eyes, flushed cheeks, mascara-streaked face – the most ethereal being he had ever seen, through and through.
he pulls you into his chest and for the first time since playing your voicemail, he breathes. his warmth forces away the thick layer of desensitization you had built up after a night of screaming, crying and destructive thoughts – and you cry. and you cry. and you cry.
“beomgyu,” you croak, voice hoarse and lethargic, tears soaking into his hoodie. he hums in response and kisses the top of your ear, continuing to rub circles into your back. “why is it so hard to do things...to say you want them...even when you really, really want them?”
he remains quiet for a moment. then he helps you up and seats you on the bed. there is confusion swimming in your eyes as he tucks the messy strands of hair behind your ears and smiles to himself as he brushes the make-up smudges from your cheeks. When his eyes meet with yours again they pierce right through them, as if uncovering your soul before him.
“sometimes we’re scared. scared of feeling the probable disappointment and hurt that awaits on the other side of things not working out,” he says, sitting down beside you before taking your hand into his. for the first time, you realize the other members are there too; they look at you will sad smiles and tear-stained cheeks.
“but,” beomgyu says, gently turning your face to his, with little to no space in between, eyes flitting to your lips, “if we don’t take that leap, if we don’t take the chance – whether it’s to bask in glory, or to deal with the disappointment until we’re ready to get back up again – wouldn’t we end up regretting it forever?”
“i’m sorry.” you choke, “i’m sorry for worrying you and for being dramatic.”
“yah!” yeonjun yells from behind you, and you turn to face the boys once more, only to find them running toward you with open arms.
you can’t help but giggle when they trap you in a massive hug, yelling at you to not scare them like that anymore.
“(y/n), we love you, please talk to us when you’re ready. Okay?”
“(y/n), it’s not because i refused to give you that plushie is it?”
“(y/n), it’s yeonjun-hyung’s fault, isn’t it?”
“yah, choi soobin!”
beomgyu chuckles as he watches the scene unfold in front of him, grateful for the friendship and love the members share with you – even if it was suffocating you with tender embraces.
ready to take a leap of his own, he shoved the mass from your figure possessed with uncontrollable laughter and yelled, “back off peasants, this one’s mine!”
and as startled as you were to hear it, it wasn’t something you needed to hear.
after all, your heart had already sworn itself to choi beomgyu years ago.
He swirled his cup of tea, the faint aroma of the cold tea entering his nostrils as he took a long whiff of the liquid. Sighing, he set the cup down on the cold stone table. He’d drank so many cups of tea that he’d lost count.
There was a gentle breeze that brushed against his back. From the stone pavilion where he sat, he could see the full moon shining brightly, its twin reflected back on the rippling waves in the lake below. He closed his eyes, listening to the rustling of the willow tree by the lakeside, the chirping of the merry crickets, and the melancholy sound of the gayageum echoing from somewhere else in the palace.
It was a peaceful night, one that was forgettable if he didn’t make an effort to remind himself of the purpose of tonight’s outing. He’d sent away all the servants, who’d told him a while ago that it was already 자시— around 1am.
After staring at the moon for a while, he turned back to the untouched paper and brush that he had prepared. He had no idea just moments ago what to write, but he brush seemed to move on its own. He wrote line after line, until he suddenly stopped. Looking down at the paper, he saw the words:
古人今人若流水,共看明月皆如此
It was a verse from a poem by the renowned Chinese poet Yi Baek, whose poems’ subject matter was often the moon. People— from the past and present— are like flowing water, existing for brief moments in the great river of time. But they all see the same moon, shining brightly above them. This was the very same moon that the young boy saw as he laid down his brush to look back at the brilliant circle in the sky. There were many troubling thoughts that plagued his mind, and he knew it must’ve also been so for the common people, who have already gone to sleep in their humble adobes at this hour. Although he thought it was selfish for him to be guided by his emotions, he couldn’t always help it. The boy seomtiems felt like the young grass by the side of the lake, or the small flower in the patch where big flowers grew. He would spend his free time wandering the palace grounds, and would often take note of these small details. But today, he observed the moon. It was always there every night, but he’d never taken a good look at it. Is the moon also bright on the outside, but cold and lonely on the inside?
He didn’t know, for the moon was asleep during the day. However, those thoughts quickly disspated as he basked in the moon’s light, which comforted him in its silence and beauty. Mesmerized, he reached for his teacup without taking his eyes off the sky. His hand missed the cup and his arm knocked the cup over, the tea inside soaking into the the paper where he’d left a space for the last line of the poem. He carefully set the fallen teacup upright, then studied the splotch of tea water on the paper. Quietly, he waited for the paper to dry so he could finish the final line. Then suddenly, he picked up his brush once more and printed three neat characters on top of the half-dried oval tea stain on the paper. Now smiling widely, he stood up hastily and rushed to the side of the pavilion, where a ray of moonlight came through. Holding up the paper up, he saw his own name light up in the moonlight:
