Sometimes it’s stories. More often at dinner though we talk about our WoW guild, or about humans and why they do awful things, or about the Sims community, or about books and movies, and just random stuff.
The stories often depend on things in the surrounding environment, like this:
"Why are they called garlic knots? Is it because they're not? Like they don't exist in our space time continuum. They are not, and then we eat them and they become an are. Or are they still not, just in a different form in our stomachs?" "You're certainly differently-minded today." "Inside this restaurant is not-ness. When we leave, we will be an are, which is the opposite of not, and so we will weigh a ton." "And you were driving today? How many people did you kill?" "Three. I wanted to be like Seth. The Sticker Magic controls the not-ness. See those ridges? Anti-universe particles pour out of them at the rate of a thousand miles a minute." "I need more quarters." *sister-in-law goes over to the Sticker Magic machine and permanently alters the space time continuum by purchasing two stickers*
Oh, he doesn’t. I mean, he’s willing, but well - he is a Reader and I am a Writer. Which is why I have to go to the internet to talk to other Writers. Although he is very willing to read what I write and to tell me that it’s awesome and to reassure me that I’m good at writing. :)
He does appreciate my stories and he will provide voices for them sometimes though.
Once I told him to sound like Seth and he didn’t say anything, and I said “No you have to say things!”, and he said “I thought I was being Seth?” I was like “Well played, sir. Well played.”
