“He’s lucky to have you then. Let me go check for you, I’ll be back in a bit.” He would leave the other in the meeting room so he could check with the department where the lost items were brought into.
After a while he returned with the bag and placed it on the table. “I’m not sure if all items are in it, you should take a look at it but there were some papers with his name on it, that’s how I knew. I do need you to fill out a file that you picked it up.” Gin spoke, leaning against the table. “How’s business in Japan going?”
'Period. End of Sentence.' is the second Oscar-winning documentary short set in India this century, along with Smile Pinki (2008).
After Period. End of Sentence. won the award for best documentary short at the 2019 Oscars, the film's producer joked that her emotions were "not because I'm on my period," despite the film being about menstruation.
"I can't believe a film about menstruation just won an Oscar!" Rayka Zehtabchi joked upon accepting the award with fellow producer Melissa Berton.
Backstage, Zehtabchi was asked if there was a particular "hard-hitting emotional moment" on the film that made her realize the project was worth it. She began, "When I was in India shooting with Sam Davis, my creative partner, we surveyed hundreds of women and men and some of the responses that we would hear about what menstruation is were when women who had been menstruating their entire lives couldn’t tell us what a period was. They didn't know or understand why they would menstruate each month. In fact, they had gone their entire lives believing they had an illness."
Zehtabchi continued, I think that was one of the most heartbreaking things for me as a woman and especially as a young woman as well, seeing that you could go your entire life fearing this thing that happens to your body. I can't even imaging what else would you be afraid to do."

[ txt : Berton ] That sounds more romantic than expected. I’ll be sure to bring a nice bottle of wine, don’t you worry about that. You just focus on the cooking because I can’t wait to taste your cooking. What time should I come over?
Riccardo Berton sceglie Matrix
Riccardo Berton correrà la stagione 2025 con le gomme Matrix. Riccardo va ad aggiungersi a Gabriel Astorino nel rooster dei nuovi piloti per la prossima stagione.
“Ugh, I’m already getting too old for this...”
Berton Alfaro
Basics: Age: 58 Sexuality: pansexual Current residence: between Japan and Spain Height: 5'10" (177cm) Nationality: Spanish Face Claim: Hatori Sohma (Fruits Basket) Occupation: Company CEO
Personality: Serious, seems to have no sense of humor (though he does, and his is mostly sarcasm). He appears to take everything seriously and sometimes even literally, and almost clueless when it comes to things involving personal socializing. However, he is intelligent and protective to those he cares about. He just wants his friends and family to be safe and be treated the way they should be. He’s not afraid to voice his opinions, even if his thoughts are negative about another person.
Appearance: Short dark hair with some bangs hanging over his left eye, beginning to grey with his age. He’s tall and lean but not skinny, having some muscle from his years of working and exercise. He wears formal business suits at work and casual dress shirts and pants on his days off. In general, he prefers to wear professional clothes more than anything else.
Background: Born in Spain; at the age of 7, he became an older brother to Ramon, and since day one, Berton became protective of his sibling. Over the years, Berton studied and worked hard at school and his jobs in order to be independent at a young age and have money saved up for when he lived on his own.
He watched his younger brother become closer and closer to the boy next door, to the point that they began to date in high school. However, when Ramon’s boyfriend changed and began to abuse his brother, Berton did his best to show Ramon the things happening and try to convince him to leave the abuse. But Ramon refused and Berton had no choice but watch his brother getting hurt in more ways than one over the years.
After college, Berton was able to create his own company that deals in many, various fields that involve entertainment- from photography to magazines to even branches that collaborate with other companies that make electronics. It became successful relatively quickly, and he was able to branch out his company to a few other countries, including Japan, where his brother moved for his own job. Berton often travels between the two countries for both work and pleasure, mostly wanting to check up on Ramon and make sure his brother is still in good health.
Relationships: Ramon - younger brother Damian - brother-in-law Gin - friend with benefits Lucia, Himeno, Jamie - nieces and nephew
