I hate all of these articles that come out after oscar nominations that are like "where are the women?!" because besides greta gerwig i didnt hear ANY hype around the directing of any other woman this year like if you want to reestablish the status quo at the oscars it has to be an issue in everyone's minds before nominations come out. Yes its fun to point fingers and complain when the academy doesnt nominate any women BUT its counter productive and feels like a hollow sentiment when it is only an issue when nominations have been published
