I struggle with my art at times when I feel myself being overly critical or judgemental of my writing or painting. That just blocks my flow of creation. I think what happens is I start imagining what someone might say or think. I remind myself this is my expression and not everyone will #appriciate it and thats ok. I got a small reminder early this morning. Yesterday I was kicking butt, crushing goals, HIIT training on top of things and then I turn to shut off my alarm this morning and I feel a pop in my shoulder blade. Instant lock up and immobilizing pain shoots up to the right side of my neck. My trusted chiropractor of 12 years is hoping its just a mechanical, muscular shift, common HIIT training injury, c2 was out, should be back at it in an adjustment or 2. We pray its not a slipped disc. Not a huge deal. But it makes me realize how much I take my body for granted, the paces I put it through each and everyday. Today it said "nope you are sitting this one out " Everything was more difficult. Driving, walking, sitting, shopping, looking to see where my 3 year old has run off to. I have zero to complain about. ZERO! This experience reminds me there are people who live with these and far worse challenges on a daily basis. I am grateful for this time to reflect, appreciate, rest and take care of myself.
