here it is! the beta readers application is now open to take in volunteers! huge shoutout to my drop dead gorgeous girlfriend (mira, @timefall-if) for setting up the form as i’m not feeling the best physically these past few days.

@albywritesfiction and i have been working side-by-side with the coding progress and they’re almost done with the completion of chapter 4. i couldn’t be happier as that means after the process of implementing the bug fixes and grammatical errors that the beta readers catch and submit for correction.

please feel free to send an application even if you haven’t done anything of this sort before, there’s a first time for everything after all. you’ll receive your acceptance via either discord or tumblr. hope y’all are having an amazing weekday, remember to stay hydrated and eat well or you’ll be getting a wedgie the entire week.

p.s. if you’re only applying to get access to earlier chapters and aren’t willing to put in the work you’re signing up for, please refrain from doing so in the first place.

So a little while ago Nat and I {Faith} decided we would like to have Beta readers for our works. We then thought maybe some of you would enjoy being that for us while helping you guys be a little more interactive with us. That being said, we made an application for you guys to fill out for a chance to be a reader, so if you are interested the link will be down below.

We do know we already posted the Beta readers application once and we want to thank all that applied the first time around. However we have decided to just reset it all and start fresh, because when we posted it the first time around we honestly got so busy with our outside lives (it was a bad idea on our part to post it around the holidays…) that we just forgot and for that we are truly sorry. We also didn’t get very many applying so we are hoping that if we just start 100% fresh maybe we can pull some new readers in to apply and we also made it a little more structured.

Must be willing to have open communication with me and my other beta reader(s). Communication is key and I would appreciate it if you would let me know if you can/ can’t do something, have an event/ vacation coming up so I can give your task to another beta reader (BR). With my BR’s currently, I just ask for transparency. I will not get mad or upset if you can’t do something before the scheduled date - please, just tell me!

With that being said, I am putting together a schedule with my BR’s at the moment. I want to be more up to date and able to focus on one thing at a time rather than having a head scrambled like a beehive.

I’m looking for a beta reader who will help me not only with grammar but, flow, and sentence structure/ repetitive words, phrases. I have diagnosed dyslexia, so even though I may proofread my own story, it won’t mean I will catch things that other people will. These stories have helped me not only with vocabulary but with typing and grammar. I’m much more confident with my skills on the keyboard now.

I do write/ plan to write for more than just BTS. I hope that doesn’t deter you from wanting to read for me.

Some ships that I don’t agree with and no explicit rape/non-con. Other than that anything goes.

Could you explain beta reading? Would you just edit it or leave suggestions? Would you read previous chapters before?
