Beth Croft: Worship
Beth Croft reflects on living out the words she sings to Jesus, and the inspirational story of a North Korean Christian.
Father, let your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth. Saviour, can you hear us call? We trust that you are enough.
"There’s no place I’d rather be, than here in your love, here in your love"
Your arms are open wide. Grace takes me back again, You always take me back. There's mercy in Your eyes. Thank You Lord for loving me, There's nothing like Your Love.

God doesn't count our sins
I was listening to a song which had in it the words: “how many times have you found me wandering” and I was just thinking about how many times I had probably been far from God and how many times he’d forgiven me. Then I had a bit of a thought. God doesn’t actually count our sins at all. They are moved away ‘as far as the east is from the west’ and we are ‘washed as white as snow’ through Jesus. How many times we have wandered from God is irrelevant - his love and endless forgiveness is what is relevant.
holy spirit, you are welcome here come flood this place and fill the atmosphere!
The Flood
Every year, around 22,500 teenagers and youth leaders attended the three Soul Survivor events throughout the summer, with a further 6,600 at Momentum making it one the largest events run for teenagers and young adults since it was birthed in the 1990's.
The Flood is the latest in a long line of albums capturing live worship from the conference. Although some of the last few years have been more miss than hit, it seems that Soul Survivor have re-found their own sound since Tim Hughes and Ben Cantelon moved on.
Leaders such as Beth Croft, Tom Field and Sam Bailey all take the helm, bringing their blend of synth driven worship music, alongside with firm favourites Rend Collective Experiment, who - as we all know - are Mumford-tastic!
At points, The Flood does sound like its been attacked by a Super Nintendo or a Commodore 64. The title track, 'Your Love Never Fails', 'He Is Alive' and 'Love Me Home' are 8-bit tastic... but I guess that's where the kidz are at, innit?!
Duck Hunt aside, as with many live worship albums, there are a few moments in particular that capture those really special moments. Beth Croft's leading of Aaron Keyes' fantastic song, 'Sovereign Over Us' and the cracking 'Cornerstone', a hymn adapted by Hillsong, are beautiful.
However, the standout track is definitely Rend Collective's latest offering, 'My Lighthouse'. Rend Collective are a band who are going from strength to strength, showcasing here what we expect to be an outstanding forthcoming album, if this song is anything to go by.
Soul Survivor have finally found and landed their feet with their current team. The next few years worth of albums are definitely going to be exciting if this is anything to go by!
