Things learned at KupoCon Nov 2021, EW Release Hype

Peter Bramhill’s friends and family like to send him Thancred fan-made merchandise since learning about his role in the game and how popular his character is. This started as simple things, like mugs.

He also now has one of the body pillows. Which he did keep on the bed.

Also there was enough singing in the booth and goofing off that in a December session they nearly had a “Thancred Christmas Album” and please I actually really would love to hear him singing as Thancred sometime.

Timothy Watson’s kids like to tell their friends which video game and show characters their dad plays. Gotta get that cred.

When asked if they’d like to be friend with their characters, Robyn Addison said she wants Y’shtola as her life coach.

Bethan Walker has two small kids, and channeled her maternal feelings when acting Alisaie’s scenes with Ga Bu, and felt a connection to the character over that.

Carina Reeves was very quiet, but very sweet and cute and uses close to her own voice for Tataru.

The hosts got Watson to say some popular Urianger memes in character. Some clips are already up and spreading across the internet. Now Urianger himself can tell you you don’t pay his sub, and how his milkshakes bring boys to the yard.

They also had the VAs say some of their lines from the game; a few serious ones, and some silly ones. And the streamer host got Bramhill to shout out to her streamer buddy who is a big Thancred fan, and he did it in character.

The moment you realize that Bethan and Colin made a Porxie-like Moogle Cake.

And it it looks a lot like the mud porxie Alisaie made in the first.
