Another factor that likely slows down our healthcare system is that the US is constantly lowering the bar, so politicians can justify not fixing it by saying that at least its not as bad as in the US. Kind of like a lot of problems here...

I can only assume that the Russos either a) didn’t know that it was there or b) deliberately retconned it, assuming that no one would notice. It’s a very, very small blip in a single scene (it only pops up as a fun fact when she’s getting arrested and never again). Most people likely wouldn’t notice it, except the internet is amazing at finding small details.
I've been thinking about transformer anatomy, and had the thought that energon, after being consumed, would be moved by the fuel pump (heart analog) through the spark chamber (lung analog+other stuff) to make it "active" energon capable of sustaining biological processes, and in cases where a spark is weak it would necessitate a transfusion. What do you think about this?
I must admit, I read this a few times and I was stuck on the interpretation of the spark chamber. I haven’t encountered it serving as a “lung+other stuff” analog; always thought of it as “the protective covering around the spark” (like the skull around a brain). The idea that energon would need to be ‘activated’ to serve as fuel is very interesting though! It would help put a little divide in the ol “food = blood” TF problem.If a spark is needed to activate the energon, and a given TF’s spark is too weak to do that, transfusion is a logical progression there. Do you mean a transfusion of activated energon? Or a transfusion of the spark itself? If the former, it would seem to me to be a lifelong course of treatment. If the latter, I wonder if it comes with personality changes ^_~I’m not sure I answered your question. Yup, the hypocrisy is disgusting but not surprising at all, especially since he started off as an insider himself and benefited from Doug Sr. and Rob Ford being in politics before he was.
