Ur big blog post is literally so accurate. There was a span of time where I got asks like every day and I answered them a lot, but then I got hate asks only for a while and just quit and stopped answering anything. Now I don’t get asks basically ever because I’m not answering stuff 24/7 like I was? It’s a cycle. People see you answering stuff and will send asks, prompting more asks, etc etc. Also whatever happened to like “fandom network” blogs? I feel like they haven’t existed since 2014

a cycle is such a good word for it!!! it really is just a loop of frequent asks -> hate/negative asks -> no asks until you start answering them more frequently again?? it's really weird and cool and i always wish i had more energy to get caught up on asks but any time i try i get overwhelmed again by new asks bc of like. people seeing me replying fldbld.

and idk! i was barely around in 2014 that was a weird year for me but i bet @danielbear knows more than i do about fandom network blogs. they really did used to be such a thing tho i wish the dnp fandom had more like.. fandom infastructure. more of an internal focus? ppl might stop focusing so much on expecting things from dnp if we did (but i may just be an optimist)

idk I’m not gonna weigh on this past year but Wish videos? Not exactly original in any way shape or form. Not to mention the fact that it just perpetually supports stolen work from small artists when you slap the face of an online celebrity onto buying into their brand. Kinda disappointing and I don’t see why anyone should apologize for not being a fan of any content creators specific work (I’m not saying phil supports stealing from artists, but he indirectly did by giving Wish money)

but twitter asked him to make this video.....i guess he didn’t have a choice but to give people what they wanted. have never thought about that ‘stolen work’ thing. have never thought of that in this way tbh. i’d ask you to elaborate on that but i’m afraid people would jump on your head for that :)

Hi! I see you keep fish and I looked at your fish tag and I have Goldies myself and a betta. I'm not sure if you've heard about this, but I thought I'd let you know anyways. Since goldfish are such big eaters, gravel is usually really dangerous unless its SUPER big. Goldfish tend to try and eat pieces and choke. I don't know your plan or you personally so you may be planning on changing out your gravel when Goldies get bigger, but safety is always a concern of mine. Anyways, happy fishes!

goldfish choking on substrate is a very rare problem, even when the substrate is small (which mine isnt), plus goldfish are pretty dang good at spitting out rocks. i dont know if youre suggesting keeping them bare bottom, but it sounds like it. and honestly bare bottom vs gravel, both has its benefits and is more of a keeper preference. and i dont wish to keep mine in a bare bottom tank.some benefits to gravel, are that it allows an excellent place for beneficial bacteria to grow. and for goldfish specifically, theyre scavengers and its their natural behavior to look for food on the bottom of their tank, in gravel, or whatever substrate you have.another weird thing, is goldfish tend to arrange their gravel how they like it, picking up pieces and moving them to different places. which isnt really a benefit its just super cute. <3anyone else feel free to give their opinion cuz there is a lot of conflicting opinions about this!

Not sure if youve answered this before, but why do you breed your snakes? I know (mostly) that fancy rat breeders, breed for health, temperament, and go from there onto appearance, for the good of the pet rat community and continuing line. I'm assuming, since they're snakes, you can't necessarily breed for temperament? But I'm unaware of any serious problems in snakes besides neurological disorders which you can't "breed out" of a line. I'm just interested!

There are several reasons as to what I look for when breeding BPs.While I am unsure if it is a hereditary trait or not, I do look for temperament. More calm snakes catch my eye. High quality morphs are also something I look for! I got Leli because she is a super, which means all of her babies will be morphs. I picked her specifically because her father was a very very dark mojave, which I wanted to see if that was hereditary as well. I breed because I want to see more high quality animals in the hobby, instead of low quality bred because they were cheap and they wanted a clutch. I want it to be less about who can make more babies, and more about who can make higher quality, breeding quality babies. Not only that, but I screen who buys the babies to try and make it more of a regular thing in the hobby as well. Good owners mean well cared for babies, and we need to see more of that in the hobby. If I sell to anyone who keeps their animals in teeny tiny enclosures with more enrichment, then nothing will change. If I sell to people who put time and effort into enriching the lives of their animals, that will start the stepping stones to become the norm. :)

Publish if you like, i follow a lot of animal artists and a ton of them got their art stolen by wish a while ago and have been in a long fight to get it taken down. Some artists don’t even know their work is on there. There’s also bootleg merch by bigger corporations which isn’t as much of my concern as smaller artists work being stolen. Recently Aaron Carter stole someone’s art and claimed it as his own. The fight artists have is really frustrating and Wish is just a horrible piece of it.

no, i’m glad you told me this ‘cause i didn’t know. i don’t use wish and never really paid attention to it. what they do is horrible and unfair as fuck. ofc Phil wouldn’t break the cycle and it’s not really about that. it’s just a bad coincidence and i can imagine how it looks like for those who know the stuff like you do, because i have a similar thing with football fandom. the aftertaste and confusion :( i hope someone will really make wish stop doing this.
