you know what pisses me off most about people recklessly breaking the fourth wall on twitter? it’s that you, random twitter user making a tweet on your unlocked account that’s seen by the wrong people, won’t even be the one to suffer the worst of the consequences. it’s your favourite fandom creators who will. they’re the ones who will have to delete their accounts or fics or other creative works to avoid being harassed. and i know this because i have seen it happen. fandom is inherently built upon community, and breaking the fourth wall puts this particular community at risk. stop it.

Rewatch The Last Dragonlord and I'm CRYING. Ballinor is so underrated omg we need more fix portraying him because GODDAMN. him and Merlin is the grumpy-sunshine father and son duo we all need. I need more of Hunith and Ballinor lore cause those two love each other sm 😭😭.

Merlin was so stressed this episode, he have tears in his eyes most of the time and Arthur kept interrupting him trying to tell this man that he's his son omg 💀. But I love how Ballinor soften up to Merlin even before he found out his he's son (Merlin just have that charm with anyone I swear).

BUT WHEN HE FOUND OUT???? HE WAS SO SOFT AND TENDER OMG. HIS EYES, THEY MELTED WITH AFFECTION. He spoke softer, he try his best to make Merlin feels comfortable, he's so jaded and rough round the edges but he's just so unbelievably soft with Merlin I CANNOT. The "goodnight son" And Merlin STUPIDLY HAPPY SMILE AND HIS SMALL "Goodnight father, " OH I AM SO SICK.

I find it interesting that this is the second time (as far as I remember, the first one with Freya) in season 2 that Merlin fantasize leaving Camelot. He WISHED Ballinor would've taken Hunith when he ran away, he WANTED to grow up with his father even if it meant away from Camelot and I feel like its a good contrast, where Merlin is still trying to find his footing and where he belongs and his yearning to find something more than destiny in the earlier season compared to the later seasons. "We could've been... Happy" THIS BOY IS SO SIMPLE HE JUST WANT HIS FAMILY GODDAMN.

Merlin is so happy and his smile is literally the purest omg. THEY WERE SO HAPPY FOR A SECOND THERE. I feel like Ballinor finally found a new reason to love and survive and Merlin find a new kin, a father.

Of course it didn't last long. GIRL HE CAN'T EVEN MOURN OPENLY. *scream into a void*.

I just have a newfound love for Ballinor. I always know he's awesome but upon rewatching he's just the best father ever. HE DESERVES MORE. I WANT MORE FIC OF WHAT MERLIN LITTLE FAMILY COULD BE.

(Writing down stuff about Parrot so that I can hopefully understand him better)

Parrot is, overall, an extremely courageous person. He has a strong moral compass that he uses to judge whether something is right or wrong, and he uses that compass to stop whatever that he deems as unjust or unfair. He is overall, an extremely driven person who would not sit idly for something to happen, as he would take matters into his own hands when he realises that no one else was doing it (biggest example being that he learned how to do redstone from the ground up in order to stop the wonders from being destroyed). He feels and cares deeply about doing the right thing, and it’s almost impossible to stop him when he had decided his mind on something. Because of this, it had made him a natural born leader.

However, his strict moral compass also lead him to view the world in black and white, as he has a very stubborn idea on what a good or a bad person is like. Because of this, he struggles to see a different perspective of another person or seeing them as just a person trying their best due to his personal views on what being a good person should be like. That, in turn, made him quite selfish, as he just assumes things about others without actually thinking about the bigger picture. This trait had also led him to become extremely paranoid about the people around him, as he wasn’t able to trust them due to how his view on people was strictly defined on how he sees what actions are considered to be “good”. And in turn, the way he categorises “people” in his head became the thing that he feels is enough to stable himself. He wants to see the good in others, but this particular trait of his prevents him from fully doing so.

Parrot is also the type to play along in the system and follow its rules. He rarely ever tries to play outside of the box that he had placed himself inside of, as he believes that he’s able to handle whatever comes next as long as he’s prepared for it (and more often times then not, he isn’t. Even if he knows how to play the game he’s still in a cage). Unlike Flame, who unknowingly got sucked into this game that he’s playing, Parrot knowingly traps himself in there. Which in turn led to him getting himself into situations that really shouldn’t concern him and has literally nothing to do with him, often to the detriment of his own safety. Combined with his sense of justice and stubbornness, it’ll take a miracle to convince him to stop risking his life for something that barely makes a dent.

#tldr. I just think he’s neat #‘I can take it’ no you cannot #see. Parrot and Flame are similar in that regard #they both think they can take it when they usually cannot take it by themself #like how Parrot didn’t tell Leo about the trap he had made and ended up getting most of the team killed #and hoe Flame thinks he can take on a mountain of LAWmen #*how #but ultimately disaster strucks them and they had to suffer the consequences #so yeah.
