This is Orwell right after I sang to him
I tested my water and noticed that the pH is a little high (sitting at bout 7.8). All my other parameters seem to be fine, nitrites are about 0.5 but I’m working on bringing that down to zero. Any tips for bringing the pH down as well, or is it more of an issue with my city water than anything I’m doing to the tank?
Stinko update
He hasnt been eating since i got him, i tried freezdried blood wormz, bug bites, and pellets. But today! Today he ate 1 pellet! He super active but he spits out his food or ignores it. Ive been uping his water changes and ill see if extra room will help. I cant have certain size Aquariums in my dorm but ill be picking up a tub from target this weekend. He already has a better filter too which finally came in the mail (2 weeks late but whatever). Hopefully ill get him eating more but until then! He ate a pellet!
Is Petco or PetSmart a better company to work for?
I'm looking for a summer job and I'd like to work at a pet store in my area. Unfortunately my LFS has age restrictions so I'm left with Petco and PetSmart. I'm wondering which is better to work for as far as animal ethics and corporate policies go. I'd really appreciate advice from anyone who works there!
My koi betta is the least aggressive fish I've ever met.
Guys help what is on his eye and how do I treat it!?
Marluxia is making a very good leaf impression. Feel the leaf. Be the leaf.
When he swims under the light you can actually see the almost gold/green sheen to his tail that’s only visible when he moves, it’s impossible to capture it in a photo!
The pink plant is Hygrophila Polysperma, pink veined variety. It can be planted, but my boys love it when stems come loose and form these lovely floating nests just under the surface.
