What is the silliest thing you have heard people say about you?

They tilt to their in thought at your question. Sea green eyes glinting with amusement as they do so. A slight smile pulling at their lips that they couldn’t smother. “I don’t know if I’ve ever heard silly things per sé, but I have definitely heard peculiar things.” They shrug with an almost rueful look painted across their face. “For instance it seems that some are of the belief that since I’m so prim out in public that it must be a completely different story in private.”

What is your worst childhood memory?

“I truly don’t know,” they admit after a slight pause. “It’s not that I don’t have any, but I try not to dwell on things that I can’t change. My past experiences being on of them. I learn from them and then I move on.” There’s another beat of silence as they sift through their memories. “If I had to choose one of the top of my head I would have to say when I fell off one of the battlements.”

You only get 3 words to describe yourself— what are they?

“Why that’s an odd question to spring on someone.” Is the distracted response you receive for a moment. Gentle waves of golden-white obscuring the Matriarch’s face from sight. Even though you could imagine the furrowed brow and the bottom lip trapped between teeth as well as if you were seeing them. Crystalline blue eyes narrowed in concentration as she worked on various documents. Finally after a moment, where only the sound of her quill permeated the silence, she glances up. A small smile quirking her lips at your keen attention. “But if I would have to choose only three words? I suppose I would use things that describe what being a Matriarch entails. Hardworking. Loyal. Sacrificial.” Her head tilts to the side— her smile growing ever-so-slightly. “I hope that is what you wished to hear.”

What motivates you to work hard?

“In my line of work the harder I work the better the end result,” they say with in a soft voice. A gentle spark flashing through their eyes as they stare at you. As if searching for a way to connect without words. “And a better end result means that my people’s lives are improved drastically. It’s one of the many reasons I adore what I do. Being able to help people even without meeting them.”

What did you think was cool then, when you were a kid but isn’t cool now?

A laugh falls from their lips. Amusement clearly painting itself across their features. “I don’t believe what can be considered ‘cool’ to my people can be said for everyone else, but I hope you can still humor me. At a very ripe age I got into my head that the more wild approach to life was the way to go.” They shake their head with a rueful smile and a slight crinkle to their nose. “I have no idea what I was thinking, but I made sure that I looked the part. Oh my parents and siblings were horrified at the events unfolding before them. Everyone except for Erydel. Though my little brother has always been a wild child himself.” Another smile flashes across their face. “Luckily I saw the error of my ways and became who I am today.”

The house is on fire, but everyone is safely out, the pets are safely out, and all wallets/cash are saved. If you could make one last dash to get something, what would it be?

“I suppose it would depend on the allotted time I would be given in this endeavor. If it was enough to get all my family heirlooms than I would choose that, but if it wasn’t? I suppose I don’t know what I would get. I would, of course, try to recover the heirlooms but how could I choose between them all?”

How long would you last in a Zombie Apocalypse?

“Until I felt like giving up.” He tilts his head to the side in thought as muses over his next words. A noncommittal shrug shifting his body slightly away from the wall he was leaning against. “So about a day. Maybe two if I’m feeling extra cheerful, which is highly improbable.”

If your life was a movie, what would it be called?

“1929.”

If you had a theme song, what would it be?

“Let You Down by NF,” he says with an arched brow. “Of course, that’s more of an internal monologue rather than a heroic spiel that most would answer with.”

Hello Mar!! 💚 So I did three of the cafe asks here, but I’ll answer the rest of them for you ☺️

Cinnamon Latte - would you ever want to dye your hair? If you have before, what color was it and why?

I have dyed my hair 3 times. The first time was like a strawberry pink that didn’t last long, but was so pretty. The second time was a deep purpley wine red color and it was so shiny and lasted a couple months longer than the pink. The last time was a bright almost Ariel red, and it still has yet to fully fade. My blonde has grown back in back my shoulders now, but I have about 2-3 inches of the red still at the ends.

Peppermint Cappuccino - what’s your favorite genre of movie, tv show, or video game and why?

I like family movies, animated movies, old movies, just like a whole bunch of different kinds.

I like fantasy tv shows, anime, period tv shows, lgbt anime, slice of life tv shows, like 90% of my viewing history is just anime.

Video games, I like story based games more than open world or online games. Mass Effect is my favorite, also Fable 3. I do like fallout and Skyrim, but I have to be in a very specific mood for those.

Caramel Macchiato - do you sleep with stuffed animals? If so do you have a favorite?

I used to have a stuffed Banette doll that I slept with, but my ex stole it.

Strawberry Milk - what’s your way of showing someone you love them, platonically or romantically?

Memes, art, roasts, cooking, endless horrible puns, cuddles (for romantic)

Iced Frappe - how quickly do you fall asleep? Do you only go to bed when exhausted so you fall asleep quickly, or do you lay in bed with the world on your mind?

If I have work the next day, I go to bed early and then lay in bed trying to sleep. If I have the next day off, I stay up and only go to bed when I can barely keep my eyes open.

Hibiscus Tea - how often do you stay up all night instead of sleeping? What was the reason you stayed up all night?

Not very often. If I have a migraine or go to bed angry or get lost in a Minecraft build, sometimes I’ll stay awake over 24 hours.

Cold Brew - what percentage is your phone on right now?

82% but it’s on a charger

Almond Milk - would you ever want to plan a road trip with your friends? Or would you rather visit one area and enjoy what’s there?

I’d rather visit one area. I’m a homebody deep down, so I don’t like going too far for too long. Except when I was in quarantine. That was horrible. Those 10 days were an eternity.

Warm Mocha - would you rather be in a sunny field of flowers and grass, or would you rather be in an ambient cafe with rain outside?

Rain. Hands down. I work in a coffee shop, and even though we’re crazy busy most of the day, it’s so relaxing when it’s raining outside and you can smell the coffee and the rain together.

Vanilla Chai - do you have any hobbies that your followers don’t know about? Or any hobbies that you once had, but stopped doing?

I used to write lyrics and poetry regularly. I filled probably 3 notebooks every month, all of which are somewhere in my parents basement. I haven’t written a poem or a song in probably 3 years though.

Steamed Espresso - do you like rollercoasters and other thrill rides at amusement parks? Why or why not?

I love them. If there’s too much spinning though I will avoid them because I do get motion sick if I spin too much. In my home state, we have a theme park with a coaster that goes straight up and straight down to begin with and it scares the shit out of me but I love it so much. I love the adrenaline rush I get and it makes me want to get back in line and ride the coasters again.

Jasmine Tea : If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

Greece or Japan. They’ve both been places I’ve desperately wanted to go since I was a kid. I’m absolutely weak for modern metropolises integrated with old world temples, ruins, etc.
