Dapper Q : He Said/We Said
Back in the summer I was asked to shoot the latest He Said/We Said fashion spread for the folks over at Dapper Q. Using the notorious Take Ivy shoot as inspiration, a glorious day was spent exploring the grounds of Colombia University with a selection of the best dressed queers of Brooklyn.
Autostraddle love a bit of queer fashion too..
And here's a few more from the shoot..
MISSTER : april
I've already mentioned just how wonderful I think this night is so I won't repeat myself but on this particular night of shooting it exceeded all expectations. Packed to the rafters cause JD Samson (M.E.N/le tigre) was providing the soundtrack, my eyes and my camera feasted on an array of beauties and wall to wall joy.
Where JD plays, babes follow..
Did I mention it's full of lesbians..?!
And here's a few more for your visual delectation..
Ravens & Chimes
Ravens & Chimes are a charming and humble bunch. I caught up with them at Mercury Lounge on the same night they were excitedly releasing their long awaited new album. Not only were they graciously signing copies for a patient crowd of adoring fans, but I got to meet frontman Asher Lack's dad (and now I see just where he gets his delightful disposition)..
Plates of Cake
Feeling pretty bad that I descended into frontman Jonathan's home (without him warning his wife first), I took the boys from Plates of Cake off for a wander around Greenpoint. In return they took me for a beer, adored my accent and generally made me feel warm and fuzzy inside..
Black Marble
Black Marble were the first call on my list so I headed over to Greenpoint to turn one of their bedrooms into a sea of keyboards for a hot minute. Luckily they were good sports and didn't mind rearranging their room and being buried in instruments. No one was damaged in the process..
