The Missing Major Arcana from the Masquerade, and which NPC/Cameo I would personally ascribe them to:
The Emperor- King Ren of Soluna
“A man sits on a throne high in the mountains. The eagle on his shield and the lion on his throne represent power and leadership. He rules with absolute authority and, although he is compassionate, will punish anyone who breaks his laws.”
Upright: Structure. Authority. Father Figure.
Reversed: Inflexibility. Domination. Controlling.
The Lovers- The Jesters???
Tbh this one was hard to pin down. The card could theoretically symbolise a strong platonic bond?? And reversed, it suggests Ego, Indecision, and Inner Conflict.
Is there a character in someone’s backstory that could fit this card? Please help me out here guys.
The Chariot- Alistar the Moonknight of Soluna
“A man stands in a chariot, pulled by two lions, one black and one white. He holds a spear and a shield. He is calm and in control, and appears to be steering the chariot with the strength of willpower alone. This can’t be easy- especially if the lions want to go in two different directions.”
Upright: Victory. Ambition. Willpower.
Reversed: Pyrrhic victory. Conflict. Setbacks.
Wheel of Fortune- Oli the Loan Shark
“In the starry night sky, the karmic wheel spins, representing the endless cycle of death and rebirth. Inside it are the alchemical symbols for water, sulphur, salt, and mercury. These are the building blocks of life. The lion is a reminder that the wheel is always turning. One day you are at the top, and the next you are underneath it.”
Upright: Good luck. Destiny. Karma.
Reversed: Bad luck. No control. Breaking a cycle.
The Hanged Man- The Creaking King
“A man dangles from a tree. By rights, he should be furious, but he looks calm and there is a halo behind his head. From this position, he sees things the way they truly are, and when he comes down from the tree, he will never see things in the same way again. This is a card of deep psychic power and upside-down truths.”
Upright: Patience. Awakening. Surrender.
Reversed: Delay. Indecision. Restrictions.
Judgement- Legundo Forrest, the Parcel Elf
“This powerful card is about processing old memories, forgiving yourself for your past mistakes and judging without condemnation.”
Upright: Processing. Salvation. Forgiving.
Reversed: Delays. Guilt. Obstinacy.
Remember, these are my own personal takes- feel free to reblog with your own opinions!!
