Act 3 is so funny because there are so many NPCs compared to the previous acts. You’ll just be walking somewhere and all of a sudden you hear someone say the most out of pocket thing and you just gotta stop and look around for the NPC that said it like:

So in my current playthrough I'm romancing Gale and somehow the game and myself worked in tandem to just really fuck over Halsin. In an unfortunate chain of events, Halsin confesses his feelings to my Tav but she's devoted to Gale and takes the "sorry I don't feel that way about you" option while I short circuit in confusion because I wasn't even trying to activate his romance. I just thought he was being shifty about whether or not he had a lover and so I kept poking like "sir, tell me the juicy details" because I have zero concept of what constitutes flirting. And then literally the next night after getting rejected the poor guy gets kidnapped by Orin. I just...I'm so sorry my dude.

BG3 - Vesper & Orion, Act 3

I found this unfinished doodle of Vesper & Orion Cullagh from last year and felt the urge to finish it🥲

My Tav when she found her twin at the House of Grief, but killed him before realising who he was

Long story short:

Vesper Cullagh is a druid of the moon (or the stars) & cleric of Selune, who originally went to Baldur's Gate to find her twin brother, not receiving any letters back in the Emerald Grove for a while. When she reached his house in the city, the door was open with nothing but blood on the floor, no signs of Orion, nor his husband. She wandered around the city to find him, and got abducted then. The entire game, she doesn't know if he survived or not. But in Act 3, when Vesper helps Shadowheart to fight in the House of Grief, she noticed a man with the same haircolour. As a Selunite, she wasn't expecting to finally find her twin dressed as a Sharran. The truth is: the blood in his house was his husband's. He was on Orin's murder list, as a guild master. Orion couldn't overcome his grief, and asked Sharrans to hil him forget his pains. Forgetting about most of his past now, like Shadowheart.

After this artwork, Vesper will bring him back to life thanks to Shadowheart's help, and try to make him remember his past thanks to the mushroom from Act 1. He will eventually fall in love with Shadowheart post-game, and they'll both start a new life together.
