The Bhachakra ☮
The heavenly bodies, otherwise known as Nakshatras and Grahas, are moving in the sky in a circular path known as the Bhachakra. Your personal birth chart shows the position of these heavenly bodies at the time of your birth. The Bhachakra measures at 360° and it is divided into 12 equal parts of 30° each. Each part is called a Bhava and is represented by a Rashi.
Each Rashi is ruled by a Graha and each Graha is associated with some Nakshatras. There are 12 Rashis, 9 Grahas and 27 Nakshatras in the Bhachakra.
