CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT TASK #003

As voted by the members, here is another character development task! We'll be looking at character inspiration in media this time around! For this task, please put together a collection of fictional characters from any source of media (television shows, movies, books, songs, video games, etc.) that provide the most inspiration for your muse. A minimal of 3 characters is needed for this task to be considered complete, but there is no maximum - so include as many more as you'd like! Already know some off the top of your head? Wonderful, you can include those! Need some help putting together a list? Here's a handy dandy statistical "which character" personality quiz you can take in your muse's POV, which will give you over 100 character comparisons to choose from! All that's required of this task is simply the list of characters that provide you the most inspiration for your muse, but if you'd like to include the reason why they provide inspo to your muse, quotes from that character that are most inspiring for your muse, or images of the different characters in an edit or collage around your muse, you're more than welcome to do so - just have fun with it!

       miles coates, the  character   inspiration.

the various bits and pieces that went into the character creation and development behind miles coates. from songs to characters and the general atmosphere of pieces of media, here's what i mustered up.

queen of denmark, john grant ( song ) : the trials and tribulations of modern intimacy. selfishness. what happens when you look into someone else and see yourself and suddenly you can see right through them. the afterburn. crashing and burning, in or out of a relationship. how humiliating it is to be alive.

a little life, various characters ( lit ) : the city where you simultaneously started to make sense of yourself and go fuzzy at the edges. what catching up with college friends looks like at nine in the morning, the overpriced coffee you guys got sucked. old wounds. the painful, adult peer that is impersonal bureaucracy, birthday emails and coupons.

kendall roy, succession ( show ) : terminal 'it's never going to be you' syndrome. falling asleep on an inflatable... in the pool. it's yourself you're trying to prove it all to. being pushed down at your own birthday party. mood swings. being the worst person you know. the feeling of the city breeze tunneling right through you. faking it. the blue tint of every glass pane in new york.
