DHAULI SHANTI STUPA . Also known as the PEACE PAGODA is located approximately 8 KM's from Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Built on the Dhauligiri hills beside the banks of River Daya. It was built in 1970's with the help of Japanese Buddhists . Historical significance of this place is something to learn from, at this very point, king Ashoka laid his weapon down during the Kalinga War. The Daya River is said to be turned Red by the bloodshed, the king realised the catastrophe he was creating.
