Kakashi was enjoying a nice spring day nap since the weather was enjoyable. For once he didn’t have a load of errands or missions to do today either which made it all the more sweeter. He was slowly drifting to sleep under the shady tree when he heard footsteps approach him.

Had I had a daughter I would have treated her better. Girls are easier to prepare for social climbing and finding a partner of whom they don’t love but has influence. Instead I got a lousy son who can’t even find a good wife. He’s failed us as a man and whatever he gets out of life is hardly a success if he’s neither a leader or married to a nice clan girl…. And I don’t think women should be leaders. They’re not built for it. They are meant to raise children. Honestly I don’t even like it all that much that they are allowed in the army.”

kakashi can wiggle his ears. both of them, independently. it’s part of how he’s so expressive with 75% of his face covered.

like how dogs use their ears to communicate.

he pulls his ears back when he feels threatened, and this tightens the muscles in his face, specifically around his eyes. he can also wiggle his eyebrows independently, too.

he practiced a lot in the mirror before he started wearing the mask.
