She watches Shino in silence as Shino did the summoning - which was unexpected but to think the infamous moth man was a summon! A rather large one at that!

There’s practically stars in her eyes at the sight and she clasped her hands together. Because look! At! Him!

“How beautiful,” Mickey breathed in amazement. She completely missed the last part of what he said, too enthralled at the sight!

When one thought about it, it was truly embarrassing: a kunoichi who fought opponents capable of using jutsu that could kill instantly; a kunoichi who had no qualms about taking on missions that could cost her her life. And yet, this very kunoichi was afraid of… little bugs… Not the kind of bugs the Aburame clan used, being afraid of those would have been understandable. No, it was a fear of tiny, ordinary bugs, the sort one could find just about anywhere.

Every time Tenten encountered one, she had to pull herself together to keep from losing her composure. What would it look like if she suddenly started screaming and hid behind a tree just because she saw a small bug crawling right in front of her?

Okay, perhaps that was a slight exaggeration of Tenten's situation. But that didn't change the fact that she was afraid of pretty much every kind of bug there was. So, after some back-and-forth, she finally decided to do something about it. And who better to help her than the bug man himself: Shino Aburame?

Nervously, she made her way to his house and asked his father for Shino after he opened the door. Naturally, his father was surprised to see her standing there; after all, Tenten wasn't among the usual visitors who sought Shino out. Yet, the man asked no further questions and simply called his son to the door. Tenten felt the flush rise to her face as she waited for him, and she lowered her gaze in embarrassment when Shino finally arrived.

Clearing his throat, Tenten began to stammer, clearly embarrassed of what she was going to ask him. "Uhm... hey..." she began, trying to figure out how best to phrase her question. "How are you?" Tenten asked first, just to buy some time, while nervously tugging at the hem of her top. "I was wondering... well, I wanted to ask... I mean..." she stammered on before lifting her gaze, her head still bowed, to meet his eyes, or rather, his sunglasses.

Then she let out a deep sigh and lowered her gaze again. This was so embarrassing and he was surely annoyed with her by now. //Okay Tenten, close your eyes and just bite the bullet!// she told herself, trying to work up some courage, and actually closed her eyes and balled her fists tightly at her sides, not wanting to look at Shino while asking. "I-was-wondering-if-you-could-help-me-get-over-my-fear-of-bugs?" the words blurted out of her, far too quickly to truly grasp them.

Now it was out, and Tenten braced herself for Shino to laugh at her, at her silly fear and, even more so, at her stupid question.

"Gai-sensei!" Shino points to a stick insect by the window! It's lifting a branch like... It's bench pressing! It's working out!

Consider him an attentive work friend for the way his head snaps up when Shino calls. Gai stares — squints, really — at the thing. It takes him a couple seconds to realise that he wasn’t just looking at two twigs moving in the window — it was a stick insect!

“Woah. WOAH!” Gai wheels himself a little closer to marvel at the beautiful sight. “That’s… amazing. I am inspired by the valiant efforts of wonderful nature!”

Good thing that it isn’t a bad pain day; Gai practically leaps off his wheelchair on his good leg, and sprawls himself out on the floor, belly up, with his arms extended and fingers wiggling in the air.

“Load up, Shino! It’s time for me to rep out a couple sets, too!” It’s been a while since he’s got to bench a human being, but Shino’s weight will definitely serve as a nice warmup.

Shino will loom into the background to observe Kiba train. Purely to study the strenght of the team! Not at all drooling in his reveries! No! Shino doesn't drool, ever. Heavy breathing? Maybe.

With all this 'studying', Shino is completely ignoring the fact that he's supposed to me training, too.

And certainly isn't helping this. He's thrown his shirt somewhere on the ground and kicked off his shoes practically with his claws to get his strikes just right, to be faster and hit harder, and every time he winds his arms back, his glistening muscles flex and tense for his viewing pleasure.

He goes until he's panting and catching his breath, looking a little flushed and feral, but that's just part of the Kiba aesthetic at this point.

Love. A most precious and painful thing. From the moment Jin smelled it on his summoner, he knew a most tenuous era was upon them. Some of his kind frowned on his meddling methods, but they frowned on anything remotely mortal that was not among their own little protected brood. They were all so dispassionate... and it drove Jin mad. It's what they do, he had been told on more than one account by a seamstress charged with watch over the Silk Tree. They fall in love, get heartbroken, and die. They are more fragile than a freshly liquidated pupae. Shino was not fragile. He was special-- but indeed, irrefutably human with those human wants and desires. Community was exceedingly important to them. How anguished the little mushiko had been to connect with his peers, how eager Jin was for him to flourish. So it was a twist in the gut when such blossoming was more bitter than sweet. This... woman felt more an intruder than a mate. Maybe it was true, about the mothfiend; they were selfish to the core. One thing was clear to him, however. Whatever personal feelings muddied his judgement, Jin was Shino's contracted summon, and he would prevent threats before they came to be. Or, if they proved not to be... well. Isana was a most peculiar creature. He was unsure. On greeting, it was naturally for Jin to hop off the perch on Isana's shoulder to rejoin his summoner, but in the wake of such a stark rebuke, admittedly, became disoriented, fluttering down to a flowering bush nearby. ... Disappointed. What sick displeasure rose through his veins, shivering through his body. It was a potent thing. Miffed, he offered no reply.

Shibi looks very confused. "Break up with her?" he asks. He frowns. "You're right, I haven't spoken mcuh with her. Where did you hear I was dating her?" She seems like a nice enough woman, beautiful too. Out of his league, probably. But Shino doesn't like her, and that counts for a lot.
