I painted this piece during the story of David, but it turned out representative of the entire Story....
As generations progressed, we developed more ways of covering our nakedness, more ways of hiding. We sought wealth and riches and power. And so because there was fear, there was PRIDE. In our fear of being shown weak or wrong, we clothed ourselves in darkness and hardened our hearts. Our spirits cowered in the dark; our faces were stern and unteachable.So God rebuked those who closed their eyes and stopped up their ears, and instead he chose the HUMBLE, the lowly, the rejected, and the castaways, those who would not or could not cover themselves, whose hearts were soft and whose eyes were seeing, and he raised their seedling faith to be oaks of righteousness, kings and queens in his kingdom. His world was always meant to be this way.
