Bible Readings About Love
(John 3:16 &17)
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
(Luke 10:27)
You shall love the Lord Your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.
(Song of Solomon 8:7)
Many waters cannot quench love, nor can the floods drown it. If a man would give for love all the wealth of his house, it would be utterly despised.
(John 15:12 & 13)
This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.
(Romans 5:8)
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
(1 John 3:1)
Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
(1 John 4:16-21)
And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in the world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us. If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that He who loves God must love his brother also.
(Hebrews 12:5 & 6)
"My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; for whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives."
(1 Peter 4:8)
And above all things have fervent love for one another, for love will cover a multitude of sins.
(Ephesians 3:16-21)
"That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."
(1 Corinthians 16:14)
Let all that you do be done with love.
