Buildings and booklets don’t set people free. Knowing the Truth breaks the most toughest of chains better than fire or saws.
The more we try to obtain God's blessing through our own works, and create doctrines/ideals to soothe our conscience, the more we admit in our hearts that Christ's death was in vain.
A lot of people now a days long for a change of behaviour to reap the benefits of a good life. But the Truth is, that changing your behaviour isn't the root cause of a better/happy life, nor will it benefit your relationship with God.
A change of bahaviour is actually a by-product of you changing your character, which is stemmed from where your focus is: either between yourself OR Christ.
If you focus on yourself, you reap despair, you reap stress, you reap sorrow, you reap confusion, you reap heart ache, and etc.
But if you focus on Christ, you reap peace, you reap love, you reap wisdom, you reap healing and a fighter's spirit and so forth (everything the Word says He is, so you are in Him). And you'll be so blessed that you have to bless others out of that very Love He gave you! And the more you focus on Him (what the Word says about Him) the more the Holy Spirit will mold you into His character!
Therefore, I encourage you, don't try to change your behaviour to benefit yourself, change who/what is your GOD and bless the One Who made you.
Resurrection Day
This holiday isn't a funeral service. It's not even just another feast day to observe. This is not a day to feel guilty or saddened or condemned. Today is meant to be treated as a heavenly reminder.
A reminder of His love towards us.
A reminder of how much faith He has in us.
A reminder of how much He believes in us.
A reminder of the curses He took from us.
A reminder of the power He gave us... a power so great it brought Him back from Hell itself through a prostitute's faith in His promise of coming back.
This is not a holiday.
It's a Wedding Anniversary!
So why not celebrate as it is?
Why not treat everyday like today?
We became one Body with Him. He sees strength, power and beauty flowing through each of us. He sees Himself in you. Now it's our turn to give Him back the same love He gave. Now it's our turn to raise the dead, heal the sick, calm the storms and pick up where He left off. It's time for us to pick up where He left off.
It's our turn to minister back to Him.
Hey, I have a short question. How do you tag poetry connected with Lucifer, fallen angels, archangels, or God?
I tag them as
religious references
bibical based
fallen angels
i. he bites your lower lip hard enough to draw blood and it comes out, dark and primal. everything is agonisingly slow and still - sometimes you forget he’s a warrior and he can go like this all day long. ii. you’re in the cocoon of his wings and nowhere was it written that they were soft. they’re stiff and unyielding, they’re marble, and the edges of them are so sharp sometimes you get cut. you don’t tell him. iii. is this what it’s like to fall? three fingers deep and you’re at the edge. you want to be pushed over, want to see the blinding light, want to walk towards it with him. iv. you think of how, sometimes, he thrusts into you like feral, like animal, like redemption. you don’t have the heart to tell him he won’t find it here, don’t have the heart to tell him he’s damning you too.
FALLEN ANGEL, Venetta O.
