The problem is faith. This means that non-harmful religious ideas give cover to harmful religious ideas, making the former harmful after all.

"Faith" has no guardrails. There's nothing that someone can't claim to believe based on nothing but "faith." (Postmodernism and most of the Humanities are essentially faith-based beliefs.)

When believers appeal to their own sense of "faith," they excuse everyone else using "faith" for their beliefs as well, no matter what they are.

There are times in our faith where we just honestly don't know what we're supposed to be doing. We're waiting on God for a response; we're at the edge of our seats waiting for Him to give us direction and instruction. And it's in these moments of waiting that God seems to purposely go silent— not because He's ignoring us, but rather because He's simply wanting us to steward that of which He has already given us. What is it that we already have that we haven't been faithful to nurture and look after? What overgrown have we overlooked and ignored? What gifts have we neglected and pushed aside? Perhaps, this is what we are supposed to be doing. These are the instructions that we have foolishly been waiting for.
