When I tell people I would be fine in a triad, the males in my life immediately think I am wanting to have a female to go along with my male partner. The males think they are going to get the best of both worlds because they get two women who not only like sleeping with each other, but also another female they can sleep with as a built in side piece for themselves.

It comes as a shock to them when I explain to them I mean I want to be the female in a relationship with two dudes. I want my bi-boyfriend/partner to have his own relationship with a boy because why the hell should I keep him from something he obviously wants and needs? Why should I be grossed out about the fact he loves and wants a male too? Love is love! And if the other dude finds me attractive too? All the more sexy. Threesomes are a thing if all parties are agreeable. It is not necessary, but wonderful if they happen! 

I don’t understand why this is such a big deal or why people, including bi-guys, are shocked I am down for something like this. Maybe it is society, maybe it is just their own thoughts on the subject matter. I just know I would like to try it at some point.
