Only 2 more Children’s Summer Theater Shows Left!

Our Children’s Summer Theater Series has been a huge success so far and there’s only 2 shows left! Our Youth Theatre Campers have been working hard each session to create these magical shows and boy, have they done an amazing job!!

Next Thursday, August 12th, our Youth Campers will be performing “Alice in Wonderland.” Fall down the rabbit hole in this classic telling of C.S. Lewis’ comical & zany tale. The final show of the season will be held on FRIDAY, August 20th with our older Campers performing “The Legend of Hercules.” Discover what it takes to become a God on Mt. Olympus, as a mortal must prove his worth.

Both shows begin at 4:15pm at the Theater in the Wood with door opening at 4pm. Tickets are limited and must be reserved in advance online and are a $5 per person suggested donation. Children’s Theater Series Starts Next Week!

One week from today, on Thursday, July 1st at 4:15 pm, our Children’s Summer Theater Series begins!  Join us every other Thursday throughout the Summer at the Theater in the Wood to enjoy a special performance put on by our Believe in Books Youth Theater kiddos! Up first, the story of a little mermaid who longs to walk above shore with the man she loves in “The Little Mermaid.”  Doors will open at 4:00 pm with the performance beginning at 4:15 pm.  Each performance has a suggested donation of $5.00 per person and an online reservation is required for all guests. As we move further into the Summer, we look forward to incredible performances of Beauty & the Beast (Thursday, July 15th), Tarzan: King of the Jungle (Thursday, July 29th), Alice in Wonderland (Thursday, August 12th), and of course The Legend of Hercules (Friday, August 20th). BIBYT Summer Camp is Coming!

In just a few short weeks, Believe in Books Youth Theatre Summer Camp is set to return!  We already have so many campers signed up to participate in this Summer’s fun!  If you haven’t signed your kiddo up yet, we suggest you do it soon as camps are filling up! BIBYT Summer Camp is offered in four two-week sessions for campers aged 7-14.  The first two-week session begins June 21st and will be focused on the story of The Little Mermaid!   During each camp session, campers will enter the magical world of theatre and learn the importance of story-telling through acting, dancing, singing, games, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities!  On the second Thursday of each session, campers will put on a live performance to show off their skills!  Performances will begin at 4:15 pm and online reservations are required. Following the Little Mermaid, campers will visit the worlds of Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, and Alice in Wonderland!  At the end of the Summer, there will be a special one-week intensive camp for teenagers aged 12 through 18 performing the Legend of Hercules. Summer Theater Camp Returns!

Believe in Books Literacy Foundation is proud to announce the return of the Believe in Books Youth Summer Theatre Camp!  Beginning on Monday, April 19th, registration for campers aged 7 to 14 will open! Camps will begin on Monday, June 21st and be offered in two-week sessions. Camps will be open to campers on a first come, first served basis and once the camp is filled, registration will be closed.  During each camp session, campers will enter the magical world of theatre and learn the importance of story-telling through acting, dancing, singing, games, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities!  At the end of each session, campers will put on a live performance to show off their skills! Performances for each camp will occur on the second Thursday of each session.  Themes for this Summer’s camps will include The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, and Alice in Wonderland.  BIBYT will also be offering a special one-week intensive performance camp for teenagers aged 12 and older only.  The theme will be the Legend of Hercules! TOMORROW IS OPENING NIGHT!

Tomorrow, Friday October 30th, 2020 is opening night of Disney’s Winnie the Pooh KIDS and we could not be more excited for our Believe in Books Youth Theatre kiddos!  This production is actually the first full-length show that the kids participating in BIBYT have been able to perform all year as this past Spring saw the cancellation of Disney’s High School Musical 2 JR.  We were so disappointed to have to cancel that show but are thrilled that a number of the kids joined us for tonight and tomorrow’s productions of Disney’s Winnie the Pooh KIDS! Disney's Winnie the Pooh KIDS is a delightful show based on the beloved characters of A.A. Milne and the 2011 Disney animated feature film. Featuring favorite songs from the film, as well as new hits by the Academy Award-winning Robert and Kristen Lopez (Frozen), this honey-filled delight is as sweet as it is fun. Tomorrow’s and Sunday’s performances will begin at 7:00 pm with doors opening at 6:30 pm.  Tickets must be purchased online in advance and are $12.00 for general admission or $10.00 for Believe in Books Literacy Foundation Members.  Due to CDC guidelines there are seating restrictions and limitations and of course masks are required however there are tickets available for both performances as of this writing.  We also have a handful of volunteering opportunities available for both performances such as ushering our guests to seats and assisting at our Candy Gram table.  Volunteers also get a free ticket to see the performance!  Visit www.believeinbooks.org to purchase tickets or to sign up to volunteer for this adorable production!

BIBYT presents: Winnie the Pooh Kids!

Believe in Books Youth Theatre is proud to announce a “sweet as honey” production this month!  Disney’s Winnie the Pooh Kids hits the stage at the Theater in the Wood on October 29th and 30th!

INTERVALE, NH – At the end of the month, Believe in Books Youth Theatre returns with an adorable production of Disney’s Winnie the Pooh Kids! The one-act musical is based on the 2011 animated feature film. The BIBYT cast contains approximately 20 students led by Director Nate Sawyer. Disney’s Winnie the Pooh Kids is a story about friendship as Pooh and his fellow friends go on an adventure in search of Christopher Robin! With minimal activity available for local children after school and after an extremely successful Summer of theater camp, BIBYT decided to host a Fall production for kids interested in theater.  Disney’s Winnie the Pooh Kids will open Thursday, October 29th at 7:00 pm with a second and final performance on Friday, October 30th at 7:00 pm.  Doors for each show will open at 6:30 pm.  Tickets must be purchased online in advance prior to the performance as tickets will not be offered at the door. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $10 for Believe in Books Literacy Foundation members.  A limited number of tickets are on sale now at www.believeinbooks.org. Another Great Show Tomorrow!

We are so excited for another fantastic Children’s Theater performance tomorrow at 5:00 pm! The classic tale of the puppet, Pinocchio, comes to life at the Theater in the Wood.  The Believe in Books Youth Theatre camp kids have been working hard all week learning their lines and practicing their dance moves.   Doors for the performance will open at 4:30 pm.  Tickets are $5 a piece and must be purchased in advance as we will not be accepting any payments at the door.  The previous shows have been sold out so you will want to make sure to buy your tickets as early as possible.  Also, we want to ensure the safety of everyone involved in the performance so we are requiring masks to be worn when you enter, move about, and exit the Theater in the Wood.  Guests are permitted to remove their masks only when they are seated.  Believe in Books staff and volunteers are also taking additional safety measures while seating groups to ensure social distancing.   We appreciate everyone following the rules and look forward to continuing these amazing performances for the duration of our Summer Camps. Children’s Summer Theater Series Returns!

With the summer in full swing, BIBLF is proud to present the return of the Children’s Summer Theater Series at the Theater in the Wood.  This Summer, each show will be performed by our Believe in Books Youth Theatre Camp kiddos.  The culmination performance each week may be enjoyed beginning tomorrow, Friday, July 10th at 5:00 pm.  

Tickets are only $5 per person and must be purchased online in advance to the show.  There are limited capacities at each performance due to CDC and State guidelines so it is important to purchase your tickets as early as possible to guarantee entry.  We will not be accepting any cash at the doors of the performance unless restrictions lighten as the Summer continues.  

Each week, guests may enjoy a unique take on a classic fairytale!  The lineup begins with the story of Peter Pan, and is followed by the tales of the Little Mermaid, Pinocchio, Snow White, Aladdin, Cinderella, and the Wizard of Oz.
