When is that shirt going to be for sale?!
It might have to be soon, with so many people wanting one :D hahah.
My kids (ages 5 & 7 soon to be 8) want to start playing RPGs. I'm struggling to find a system that forces the older one to do a fair bit of some sort - ie, preferably d20 base but still largely manage his character, but isn't going to take FOREVER to get through level with just two PCs. I'm liking 5e a LOT but it's going to be "Kill 300 XP of rats until you level" or something. Any other systems I could look at, or adventure ideas to keep things fresh?
I have a limited amount of experience playing with younger players. The youngest I’ve played with have been about 10, so I’m not sure. I have had some folks ask me about playing with their younger children, and for them I have pointed them to Adventures in Oz, the RPG made by @adventuresinozrpg. It is definitely a different “feel” than combat-oriented d20 games, and character progression is done more by accumulating friends than leveling up your spells & abilities. But to get younger kids used to reading an working with a character sheet, understanding cooperative storytelling, and exploring a wondrous fantastical setting, I think “Adventures in Oz” really fits the bill.
Since I did just recently tout my love of “Earthdawn” though, I’m going to also recommend it as a possibility on the other side of the spectrum. Character progression is more gradual, so after each session you can gain some sort of benefit, even if it’s not the all-at-once satisfaction of a sudden “ding.” It’s also not d20-based; you’re rolling large numbers of smaller dive (ie, d12+d8, etc), so there would be more math involved. So that might be a good thing or a bad thing with their age.

This may be the coolest use of GW products I’ve seen in a while
We use the citadel paints and sprays for pretty much anything. They’ve given us the far best results out of anything else we’ve used.
Weapons, armour, jewellery, it does pretty much everything. Heck I painted my Don Juan mask with the stuff and Blood for the Blood God for 90% of all our hotline miami blood/staining.
Go look at rules regarding breaking down electronics for hardware packs in Data Trails. Then look up printers in the core book and do math.
Ahh the old "breaking down ladders to sell as ten foot poles"

I was so ready to turn down any actual attempts, but you had to go and quote That Character.
