Wally grimaced. “I told you to not call them that. It sounds disgusting and it makes me want to commit arson,” He held the sticker between his index and middle finger, like the business card he had originally thought it was. “You do know that this won’t stick on the tree, right?”

“Whatever.” Dick laughed. Then he sprinted towards the playground, and Wally wondered what the point had even been, to drag him along to the park if nothing really was going to happen. Wally ran after him. 

“I knew it wasn’t going to stick, Wallace.” Dick had pulled himself up onto the climbing frame.

“Oh yeah?” Wally climbed up, he sat beside Dick. “Where do you wanna put it? Right here?” He pointed to the space between them. 

Dick took the peel off the sticker. He stuck it right where Wally had pointed. He shot him a smile. “Duh.”

Wally lets his grip loosen from the bar. His legs are curled around it, he is hanging upside down now. He sits up again, this is something that Dick does all the time, just trying to show off on them. Wally repositions himself on the bar, he sits straight. His fingers cross the bump where the bar ends and the sticker begins. His fingers trace Dick’s name, the ink faint already. Over and over, his index finger moving in the small curves of Dick’s own handwriting. He stops at the last curve of the letter k, taps it. Then he taps it again, and again, and now he’s just tapping the small ending point of the letter k and he’s being impatient, Dick still hasn’t shown up. The clock says four minutes but the clock is wrong. Being a speedster, a teenager like him, it’s just a whole other conceptual idea of time. Time doesn’t exist, he knows that much. 

Wally is swinging his feet unevenly. It’s something that bugs him, but what gives? He’s bored out of his mind and nothing else seems to be entertaining. Usually, when Dick gets here, he has something to do, something to talk about.
