|| Aidan & Anna for @tangodancerxmumu
Aidan wasn’t sure how he felt about Bellport. Not that he’d seen much of it, Conan was pretty insistent he stayed in the shitty motel room they had. It wouldn’t take long, he’d said. They were after the freaking original vampires, Aidan was pretty sure the family wouldn’t go down easily. He wasn’t entirely sure why they deserved it either, only one of them seemed to have a terrible reputation. Still, Aidan wasn’t sure how many people Conan went after deserved it. It made his skin crawl, the guilt like bile in his throat.
He’d needed air, so he’d slipped out, metal flask in his hand. He wasn’t entirely sure what was in it, but he sipped from it as he wandered the streets - desperate for some kind of distraction.
That’s when he saw her. Anna. The sister he’d abandoned, no longer in Ireland. He blinked, eyes flickering back to the flask. He was hallucinating her, wasn’t he? From the guilt of leaving her behind. Except as her voice flooded his ears, he knew she was real. “Anna?” No, no she couldn’t be here. If Conan found out--. Well, he wasn’t entirely sure he wanted to think about that.
There is seriously some sort of jinx in play with me trying to see Star Wars. I arranged it so if I worked 12 hours today and 16 hours Friday, I would have time off Thursday to go see it. But apparently there was corn syrup in dinner last night because I was up all night almost dying so I'm going to have to move most of this work onto tomorrow. Also I'm not done almost dying. My liver is clearly not recovered from my allergic reaction to that antibiotic a couple of weeks back. I bet if I went to the ER right now they'd admit me, but it's tax season, so that would be irresponsible. I'll just harass the first person who calls me on the phone to bring me some milk thistle tea. Literally anyone. The clients have weird requests all the time, why can't I?
