any sort of relationship with Bill is going to be incredibly,,,, chaotic, to say the least, but there's a special emphasis on that factor when it comes to a romantic relationship

he's a god of literal chaos, he's uncontrollable, and while he is more emotional than he'd care to admit, he's still more detached than your average typical human. getting into a real relationship with him is a pretty difficult feat in and of itself, especially if you're a human/not on the same level in terms of power as him.

he can be a bit bratty in the sense that he has a verrryyy high view of himself and doesn't really understand how his actions affect others because he views all attention as good attention, so instead of flirting with you he's most likely just doing everything he can to piss you off. if you aren't immediately suddenly and completely enamored witn him, he's doing everything in his power to make it so that you either love him, or fear him. if you do have a strong reaction to him upon meeting him, whether it be positive or negative, he'll definitely play into that. i think the only thing that'd truly level out the playing field in a relationship with him would be not only seeing through his manipulation, but having the ability to "fight back" as well. i'd say its pretty easy to see what makes him tick if you know him well enough, and so i think that having a relationship in which you truly try to know him would be valued by Bill more than even he realizes.

Bill would definitely try to push you away the second he realizes how valuable you're becoming. he hates weaknesses and caring about someone too deeply is most definitely weak in his eyes, so i think he'd be very adamant on lashing out and pushing you away, not only to punish himself but also to test you, in a way? a part of him definitely still wants you and i think he'd want to see if you're willing to come back for him, if that makes sense. either way, he's not exactly the healthiest or most emotionally vulnerable, but i'm going to continue on as though by some feat of grandeur you actually manage to convince him that you're not only worthy of his time, but also that you aren't going to abandon him.

once he's certain of not only his feelings but yours as well, it would be like he did a complete 180. no longer would Bill be trying to push you away, instead, i think he'd become incredibly clingy. he suddenly wants you by his side at all times, is touchy and even more annoying than usual, gets insanely jealous, etc. he's just generally a bit possessive, i think he's more than aware that most people only really stay around him because of either fear or wanting to gain something from him, so it's not like he has many wholesome and reliable relationships to base his feelings off of. this would just result in him basically obsessing over you, which can feel very flattering, but also very draining. plus, like i said before, Bill is very self centered and not very aware (nor caring) about how you'd be feeling in response to this abrupt switch, so he'd probably come off verrrrryyy overzealous and dismissive (holy self sabotage).

despite all of this, Bill would not be the one to actually confess his feelings first and i will die on this hill. sure, he's dismissive of most people's feelings, but that doesn't mean he isn't fairly perceptive of them. i think that more than anything, deep down, he's verrrryy afraid of your rejection, so he'll definitely incite you to confess and massage the situation to his advantage but won't be the one to outright tell you first. however, his interest in you would be pretty obvious and i think that alone would embolden you to at least shoot your shot.

as crazy as he is, i do think being in a relationship with Bill could be very entertaining, because he's nothing if not fun. he's absolutely the type to pull you out of your comfort zone, and make you experience the world in ways you never have before. he can be obsessive, but that can also lead to him being incredibly affectionate, as he enjoys spoiling you. he finds deep interest in the things you enjoy, and would want to know everything (and i mean everything) about you.

being with him is incredibly exhilarating. because he's so intense, and knows you so deeply, it's very easy for him to sweep you off your feet. he loves teasing you and surprising you, and loves your various reactions even more. he pranks you often, from things as harmless as stealing your items and hiding them to putting literal eyeballs in your bed. everything is a gamble with him, but that just makes it all the more fun in his eyes. Bill is definitely the type to come up behind you and scare you just for the thrill, and loves it when you practically jump out of your skin. he prides himself in being able to make you tick in ways no one else can, but even though he can be frustrating, he can also be surprisingly lovely too.

the types of dates Bill would enjoy are ,,,, varied, to say the least. i think he'd be a huge fan of anything adventurous or chaotic, such as thrill rides or a party, but i also see him as someone who would enjoy time alone with their partner. i think he'd like to alos have dates in which you both just stay in and relax together, usually accompanied by some sort of puzzle or game you could play. while he does have a wild side when it comes to outings, i think its pretty fairly mixed with more complex and thoughtful dates as well !

i think the only real requirement to be in any sort of relationship with him is some sort of intelligence. you don't have to be a full blown genius, but anyone intellectually stimulating for him intrigues him greatly. bonus points if you have weird or intense interests that you can discuss with him. Bill would be very fun to converse with when it comes to supernatural or experimental topics, and he loves probing your mind to see how you work through things. a lot of the early "small talk" stages of the relationship involve intense puzzles or thought provoking riddles, simply because he wants to gauge not only your thinking abilities but how you think. it can be very endearing, and over time his questions and conversations become more and more personalized to you. he'd absolutely remember your interests, your preferences, what makes the cogs of your mind begin to roll.

not only does he love discussing things with you, but i think Bill would love explaining things to you and bestowing you with knowledge. as previously mentioned, he thinks very highly of himself, and i think he'd love it when you listen to him. he's an expert at flattery, but that doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy being praised too, yk? he can be a bit egotistical, but it dulls into a more ecstatic energy over time rather than condescension.

very physically affectionate, but mostly on his terms. Bill wouldn't like to be touched without warning, but he does love touching YOU, so it takes a while to find a balance where he can basically cling to you but not get overwhelmed when you show affection back (although he does get quite cute when flustered.)

if you're a fan of physical touch then good news !!! once you both are close enough he'll practically be clinging to you like a koala, always needing to have you by his side and with an arm around your waist. however, it takes time for him (and you) to establish that trust, so don't expect it right away

outside of physical affection, i'd say Bill struggles a bit with expressing his feelings verbally. sure, he's good at flattery and manipulation, but genuine and romantic comments are few and far between. i think deep enough into a relationship where a bond has genuinely formed between the two of you, Bill would be against not only manipulating you but lying to you in general. this level of trust would be very difficult to achieve, but i do think its doable, and in such a case it only makes the praises he does give all the more meaningful because you know that he's being genuine

overall, like any sort of relationship with Bill, dating him takes time, effort, and energy. however, it ultimately proves to be fruitful as he will absolutely and truly love you with everything he has, and while he may not be perfect you know more than anyone else how hard he tries

we already know he's a bit of a sadist, but Bill definitely has a masochistic streak as well. he gets off on pain, even when at first he doesn't even realize he's getting off on it. loves when you hurt him during sex, whether it be as simple as your nails dragging over his skin or as extreme as you physically dismembering him while fucking him at the same time- he's very much into it. this also includes his human form as well if you're into that, i think he'd be very curious about how much a human form could withstand combined with his own regenerative abilities, and again, would fucking love the pain.

a/n — Procrastination killed my soul during this, I think it turned out okay, though! Sorry for typos, your girl is tired.

warnings — SFW, post!weirdmaggedon, as ‘fluffy’ as you can get with Bill cipher, he is his own warning, kinda toxic relationships, fluff and bill being pathetic

summary — Reader assists a recently fallen Bill Cipher in self care, despite his general all-mighty asshole-ness.

The exoskeleton of a bug was practical, a water-tight barrier most commonly known for muscle attachments, and its use to shelter and protect the insects gushy insides from its harsh environment. 

The exoskeleton of a triangle was for mostly for aesthetics, as the underneath was far more horrifying than anything in the harsh environment around it. Or so the triangle claims.

You dipped a soapy sponge into the bucket in front of you, as bill propped his feet up on the bathtub. 

“You conquer worlds and destroy planets, but yeah, why not draw the line at cleaning yourself.”

“Please, what better way to make use out of my new human pet— partner, than this?” He corrected loudly and purposefully. Then looking to the side, he mumbled, “And besides, kid, you have no idea how hard it is to clean between the bricks. Euck— So many blind spots.”

The first part was a throwaway reminder that he had far more power than you in this dynamic, something you’d picked up on Bill casually doing in his time with you. 

Being roommates with a butt-hurt demon, given the ending of weirdmaggedon, allowed you the privilege of being more cautious than previous humans were with Bill. For example, you’ve taken to keeping track of his repeated habits and patterns. 

On of which, just so happened to be reminding you how small you were compared to him. 

You jabbed the sponge in-between on of the bricks, “Ow!” He narrowed his eye at you, “Watch it, pal. I’m starting to think you’ve never cleaned a triangle before.”

“I’d hate to give that impression.” You softened your hold on him, “Delicate work, I always say.”

And it was delicate work. After his defeat, he’d been roughed up a surprising bit, powers even weakened. 

Weakened.

“Not too delicate,” he shot you glance. Guess he’d heard that thought process. 

Although, most days he’d seemed to be in a thought process of his own. Weird.

You cleared your throat, “How often does this even need to be done?”

He blinked, “Well, let’s see. Once every—“ he waved his hand around “—few hundred years. Very high maintenance, do not recommend it.”

High maintenance, yeah. At this point, Bill had taken to talking about some other topic, you hadn’t been really listening, something about intergalactic food joints.

Every once and a while he’d bring up something that happened with one of his ‘henchmaniacs’ before getting slightly irritated at the lack of presence in his life now, and changing the subject. 

Bill was interesting to study, you couldn’t lie. His eyelashes curled away from each other, like the mangled legs of a recently dead spider. His hands were very present when he talked, like most people of business. His body flicked side to side slightly at certain moments. 

You became more gentle naturally, taking care of every crevice, and for some reason Bill becomes gradually quieter.

“Something wrong?” You asked, not stopping.

Bill blinked, “Eh, been a minute since i’ve had a human servant. Maybe, I was thinking of other things you can help with!”

You sigh, “Yeah, because i’m your servant. As if.” In your mind, your thinking do the fact he was your roommate, in your house, eating your food. 

“Hey, don’t get all butt-hurt. You’re all ants to me, buddy, nothing to be ashamed of!” His eye flicked back and forth between you and the room.

Then you stop scrubbing, “Bill, I might as well be your landlord.” You know he can read your thoughts, so you make a point to justify yourself. Already weakened from his failed apocalypse, anything other than vague respect for you would land him homeless. Most likely, his response to this would be killing you, but there’s only so much he can do afterwards. 

He’d have a place to stay, but with no electricity or heating, and in his damaged physical form he actively does need those things. And trying to get a new human would be a hassle, and unlike you, no guarantee they’d let him stay there without calling the authorities.

“Yeesh,” Bill remarks, “Buzzkill… You are still a bug compared to me, though—“

You drop the sponge in the bucket, “I think you’re done.”

He looks taken aback when you pull away, “What? Come on, over the bug comment? Jeez, buddy—“

“No I mean you’re actually done,” you gesture to his body, now shining and slick with soap suds. “I got everything, there’s nothing else to do.”

You go to turn around before you feel a small hand grabbing for the back of your shirt. 

“Wait, wait!” He breathes, eye flicking from side to side, “… You have to dry me off first.”

He looked slightly panicked, like if you stopped taking care of him now, you’d leave and never come back. Your thought process earlier couldn’t have helped. 

The way he scurried and gasped for you was reminiscent of panicked earwig and a rock is lifted up. The comparison should have grossed you out, but it kinda just made you feel a little bad.

If he was paying attention to your thoughts, he didn’t show it. This would have usually given you the impression he’d wanted you to be thinking the way you were, but he seemed a little wrapped up in his own head. 

“Come on, kid. Don’t tell me you’re gonna kick me out because I asked you to dry me off. One last thing and then you don’t even have to talk to me the rest of the night! Sounds like a good deal, right?” 

His slightly desperate looking sales pitch was met with a sigh, you picked up a dry towel and began to pat the soap suds off of him. His body slowly breathed in, making it look like he was sighing, but no noise came out.

You wondered then if he was actually touch-starved, but cut your thoughts there because this time he had nothing better to do then pay attention to what you were thinking. 

“Ouch, i’m not that desperate, pal.” But he was.

His exoskeleton was dry, but you didn’t stop patting him down. His eyelid shut slowly, and the spider-legs on them curled into each other once more. 

The exoskeleton of a bug was practical, but one of a triangle seemed to simply be for aesthetics. 

However, on some rare occasions, it possesses the same desire for love as human bodies. Only, when very desperate, of course.

Looking up at the stars you ask him. "What's your favourite constelation?"

"Hard to say... The Taurus is a good one, but there's loads more out there than what you can see here." He replied back, both his arms folded together behind him as you both gaze up at the stars above you.

"Really? Please tell me one and if you could, please show it to me too." You asked, as your eyes glanced at him.

Closing his eye for a moment, he answers, "Well there's this one called KWHD that reminds me of you," opening it once more, a hologram transmits from his eye and you could see a group of stars forming a complex pattern.

"Woah..." You said in awe as you sit up to get closer to the holographic figure.

The stars reflect into your eyes, making it seem like a whole galaxy is stored within your beautiful gaze. "Woah..." Bill whispers softly to himself.

I know I posted that I might not write anything for today and I truly do not have a lot of time today but I simply could not resist.

Kindness, truly a trivial thing in Bill's world full of hatred and destruction. Are you kind? Or evil? We may think we are the heroes, but are we really?

Bill accepts that he is evil, that he is a bad person, that he can be terrifying to everyone he knows. Perhaps it disturbs him, perhaps not, but he seems to not exactly give that much thought into it though as he just does what he wants at times, and attains what he needs by all means.

When he met you, he just wonders why do you even strive to be a better person? What's happening in your mind? Why are you so kind to him?

He'll try his best to break you. He wants to see you in pieces, he wants to know just how far you can withstand his awful nature.

If you do manage to keep being kind, to keep responding in a polite and kind manner, to keep being his 'friend' no matter what, and to still be there when he goes to you, it will rattle his brain and would also most likely amuse him as well.

Of course, he will try to manipulate you, realizing that you might be someone he can just ask to do something truly awful in the name of the relationship you have with him. But if you are quick to stand your ground, and you still manage to be gentle while doing so, it should knock some sense that you may not be as much of a pushover as he thought.

His little outbursts and mixed mood swings may be hard to deal with from time to time, but if you do manage to do your best to be patient, you may get heartfelt moments that no one will ever get to experience.

You both won't notice but he might slowly but surely adapt the little tidbits of the things you do.

Psychology says that people mirror the ones that they like, and well, he would never admit it but if you and Bill have been interacting for a long time, he'll most indefinitely grow fond of you.

The way you sometimes cover your mouth when you smile, the way you tap your feet slightly as you listen to music, the way you nod every once in a while as he rambles on about something...the little tidbits you do slowly manages to latch on to him and soon he may not exactly notice how you are eventually changing him.

All the while as he tries to manipulate you, he does end up somewhat shooting himself by the foot because of the numerous times he has tried to trick you.

Each of your surprised, horrified, but still genuine reactions that show compassion and kindness towards situations and certain asks may slowly influence him to subconsciously gain the ability to become a slightly bit more compassionate after a long while.

If you notice though, do not mention it, nor should you even think about it, around him. If he manages to understand what may be happening then it will make him extremely aware of the little things he do and it might hinder the effect you have on him so far.

Though truth be told, perhaps he would find out sooner as time passes by. He is no fool, in fact he is a good observer. But his ego may hold somewhat as a blindfold to himself as he would most likely convince himself that he would never change because of someone like you.

After an extremely long while, he will expect you to want something from him. What are you getting out of this? What's the endgame? Keep being kind to him and perhaps he'll soon think that you are just as insane as he is.

In a clear, breezy day. You sit under the beautiful clouds that drift the sky like wet paint on a canvas. Taking a sip from the cup of tea that Bill brewed, the wind gently graces your shoulders.

Bill sits beside you, rambling on about the numerous number of tea he has discovered by himself. You nod slightly, encouraging him to continue.

As he continues to speak, he slowly gazes back at you. Smiling, you gaze back at him as well and hummed, nodding slightly once more to let him know you're listening, and so, he continues to speak, rambling on any subject his mind manages to think of, as both of you enjoy the afternoon with a cup of tea on one of each other's hands.

For Bill, he finds it quite foolish of you to even partake in this celebration. It's funny how almost everyone seemed to be happy here whenever Earth would make a full revolution around the sun.

Although funny...it is quite interesting. Don't get him wrong, this is still stupid...but there's just something about celebrating the little things in life and how a lot of people interprets this occassion as a new beginning. It's something he's seen a lot.

No matter how sad your little lives seem to be, somehow you all find something to laugh about sooner and later, and well... It's something, he'll give you that.

With bright lights, popping fireworks, loud music and gifts, each party would start by a host. Perhaps after a prayer of some sort, the games would start afterwards and then some of the parents would be in charge of the food to be eaten later.

Bill wouldn't be that fond of helping out because well...he's Bill. Don't expect him to work for anything all that much. But he will help don't worry, in his own weird way perhaps he'll make or even help you make dishes for the New Year's party.

Holding a spoon on one hand, Bill would mix the batter well, making sure to get the mixture perfect. Mixing fast though, he'd make a mess here and there. Taking it from him though, you lead him through a few steps.

After only a few seconds however. He'd complain on how you baby him. He's an all powerful, immortal being, he knows a lot about cooking...or well, to what he's observed anyways. After you exchange a chuckle, you'd let him handle it from there. Although it would be fun to tease him, you'd rather not. In small ways, you choose to still guide him.

It would just be the two of you in the party, however it would be enough to fill the house with a busy, bustling atmosphere of two people working for each other. Baking and cooking, Bill would cook a few interesting but undeniably tasty meals, sometimes he'd still need help with modernized kitchen appliances though.

After all the hard work and all the time spent. By the end, you'd both be in the middle of the mess of it all and see the fruits of your labour. You don't even know if you both can eat all of that but well...you couldn't care less. You were just happy to have made all this with your strange but undeniably interesting Bill Cipher, and well, Bill can honestly say the same back about you...

Through the cooking, and cleaning, Bill does still wonder why you'd have chosen him. Of all the people, you chose a dicrepit triangle to care for, you chose him, someone who might as well be one of the most dangerous thing to have ever come across your planet in a trillion years.

Either you're dumb, or a graciously gifted empathetic person equipped with patience that's as stubborn as a mule, or both, either way, you are stupidly kind, he thinks to himself, but darn it. Why...why did he have to get attached. You could've been his big break, a kind soul willing to do most likely everything for him. Someone patient and kind... Someone...with potential.

Well, he could have just pushed himself to get away from you or just push you away but well what can he say, besides being a good person, you're also quite clever in many ways than one. Getting him to become at least a tiny bit more understanding is quite astounding.

After the baking, the preparation, and all of everything that has happened today, Bill has been reminded. Reminded once again of how you slightly changed him, of how much of a great person you are. You're stupid, clever, yet caring touch is something he can't shy away forever and well, he's feeling quite embarrassed about that fact.

And so, after all the singing, baking, and cleaning, there's one last thing to do.

"Ready?" You asked beside him, letting your legs rest of the rooftop.

"WELL I'M HERE AREN'T I?" Bill replies back at you.

Starting the count down...

"10"

You both start to count backwards in unison, now only a few seconds away from a new year.

(Although corny, maybe he does want new years with you.)

(As stupid as it is for him, he could say fully within the recesses of his undeciphered mind that he'd want to spend a new year with you.)

Looking at the clock, you ready the small firework on a steady stand.

Suddenly, you held Bill's hand, and surprisingly he doesn't pull away.

Out and about, it's a new day. As your view becomes clear, and your consciousness is here, you find yourself freezing cold under your bedsheets. Looking around, your eyes land to a certain triangle who calls himself your overlord. Wearing your clothes, he greets you somewhat warmly as he continuous to float.

"MORNING SLEEPYHEAD! YOU SURE DO LOVE TO OVERSLEEP HUH?" He says, adjusting your stolen clothes.

"Good morning," you greeted back, a yawn escaping your lips, "and what can I say, sleep is quite amazing..." Stopping for a moment you continued to stare at him, a smile slowly unfurling from your face as you confirmed that he was infact wearing your most fabulous robe.

Noticing your gaze, you see him lightly blush for a moment before spitting back a retort, "WHAT? JEALOUS I LOOK BETTER IN YOUR OUTFIT?"

You roll your eyes, giggling towards his remark. Right after though, as if on cue, your body slightly trembles in defiance of the low temperature. Feeling the cold, your eyes go back to Bill, "is this why he's wearing..." You thought to yourself before you quickly wrap your blankets on your shoulders, your body shuddering slightly, "Why is it so cold..." You mutter.

"YEAH, LOOK FOR YOURSELF," Bill spoke, his hand reaching for the curtains, and revealing the window he probably opened earlier. Gasping, your face gets hit with the cold, harsh weather, "Bill..." You say as your body recoils to the comfort of your bed.

Bill only laughs at your struggle before shuddering as well once he also gets hit with the chills. "BRR..." He expresses before closing the window tightly, "YUP IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR. WHERE THE ONLY PREDATOR IS THE FREEZING, DEADLY WEATHER...AND OTHER THINGS THAT MIGHT WANT TO EAT YOU TO SURVIVE," he says somewhat dramatically.

"Isn't that the same?" You ask him, "The weather and things that might want to eat me?" You reiterate your question before forcing yourself to stand up, quickly going to your closet to get yourself a thick furry coat.

Right after you're now wrapped neatly with your coat, you hear his reply, "EHH I DIDN'T SAY BOTH AREN'T THE SAME."

"I guess you haven't," you reply, "Now, are you going to give me back my robe? I have this here, I think it'll fit you greatly," you ask, presenting a small jacket to Bill. This was previously left behind by your nephew a few months ago and it seemed they have forgotten about it.

Slowly taking the jacket from your hands, Bill inspects it for a moment before throwing it at the window. He must've expected it to go through, but fortunately it was tightly closed. For a moment the jacket gets stuck on the window pane before falling to the ground, "JACKET, WHAT JACKET?" He says, a 'grin' showing on his features as he shrugged his shoulders, acting as if nothing happened.

"I take that as a no..." You mutter, taking the jacket and placing it back into your closet.

...

Right after that delightful start of the morning, you both head downstairs for some good old cup of tea. Before you could reach the kitchen though, Bill seemed to already make his way into brewing a good blend of tea.

Bill often does this, brewing a great serving of tea for the both of you a few times. Although you could just do it for him, he seems to take pleasure in brewing tea. You couldn't really complain, he's pretty good at it and he also really does know a lot about tea to the point you guessed it's most likely his favourite drink.

Pouring you a cup, you held it between your palms for a moment. It wasn't scalding hot, in fact it was comforting, holding and feeling warmth across your palms. Bill seemed to notice your grip on the cup but didn't comment, only looking as if he wished you held him like that.

Noticing his gaze, you give a comment about enjoying the warmth the cup gives. He didn't respond to that for now and just proceeded to pour himself a cup and hovered on the other side of the table.

Taking a sip, he gives off a comment of enjoying the warmth as well. You were sort of surprised, the yea wasn't scalding hot to the touch, but it must be hot enough to burn your tongue... Perhaps his different autonomy made a difference you supposed. Either way, although a bit surprised, considering how long you've lived with him, by now you were more used to his randomness.

However, after waiting for a few more moments, Bill urged you to take a sip, "GEEZ IT AIN'T THAT HOT," Bill says, before stretching his arms to hold you hands. In a swift motion, he lifts it upwards to your face, making you sip the tea.

After sipping, he lets your hands go. Blushing slightly, you raise your eyebrows then shook your head in slight disapproval before taking another sip. This time though, you took your time. Smelling the herbal tea that wafts in the air, you get reminded of a faint memory from way back then. As nostalgia hits you, you couldn't stop yourself from slightly smiling.

Every time Bill brews tea, he always knew what he was doing. Every time you drink, it was honestly quite perfect. Right from the smell to the taste and to everything a cup of tea should be, he always seemed to nail it, and the best part, you just can't get sick of it.

Bill didn't brew only a single flavour of tea whenever you had some with him. No, he made you several flavours to try, and somehow he got you to adore each and every one of them. You really can't deny it, all the tea's you've had with him is quite magnificent, even to the point you could call it a work of art by this point.

Bill has made several teas, tangy, sweet, tasty. He's made a lot in the recent time he's been here, and through it all, he's asked you to try each and every single one, as if he's trying to get your reaction? A positive one at that? But well, you can only speculate. Perhaps he's only doing for himself... Or for something else. Either way, you can't deny that he's somehow perfected making tea, and you're incredibly greatful for it.

And so, as the smell of Bill's brewed tea continues to linger in the air, a small smile remains on your lips, the air a little bit more warmer than before. With Bill starting to talk about something random, you close your eyes for a moment, enjoying how cozy it currently is. For that moment though, as your eyes shut, you miss his wandering gaze that darted back at your figure.

Feeling fondness deep inside as well, he can't help but share the same expression you're wearing.
