Dinner was served at the 61st annual Southern California Journalism Awards Gala. These 3 food are presented in reverse to the way the food was served because the dessert is so colorful. The salad rested at the table awaiting us. It was a combination of leafy greens with candied walnuts, grilled pears topped with a balsamic reduction and goat cheese. We were served a delicious stuffed chicken breast with a whole carrot, Yellow scalloped squash and steamed green beans Then followed the fruit and custard bowl. It was really good and someone didn’t want their dessert and I had two. My waist suffered for it I’m sure. The food was great but it was no match for the award winners and their gift of journalistic integrity. On Sunday Kat and I took a little time out to shoot the silent auction items she had donated to the Los Angeles Press Club for the 61st annual Southern California Journalism Awards Gala. The items were mostly scripts from Kat’s dad Stanley Kramer’s collection. They were all great films but she had donated “The Wild One” script and I was smitten! So I got this selfie with it.
