                The risk of being caught was half the fun, but the reality of it happening hadn’t been part of the actual plan.  But here she was, not far outside her dorm room, face-to-face with another.  She’d paired her nightdress with her flattest boots and favored claret seude jacket ( her go-to outfit for this occasion —— did you expect this to be the first time she’d left her room after hours? ), tying it all together with an air of nonchalance.

                “I’m sneaking out.  How do some people stay shut up without getting so restless?”  She and curfews weren’t the best match.  She had never done well being cooped up for very long, lest she become antsy and irritated.  A good bit of air at two in the morning was just what she needed.  “Don’t worry, I’ll keep the trouble-making to a minimum.  I’m not really in the mood anyway.”
