Okay, so I did ace binding today, and HOLY SHIT was it awful. Man, I don't know if it's because I haven't done it in a long time, or if it's because my ribs are already messed up, or what exactly, but it was absolutely horrid. I could barely breathe, and it felt like a boa constrictor slowly constricting my lungs, ribs and spine. As we were heading back home I like yanked it off after taking off the make-shift clasps to keep it shut. (which happen to be a hair barrette and a safety pin, with the bottom of the bandage tucked underneath the other layer) I still felt sore and in some mild pain until about 2 hours later. ><; It's kind of funny though, because I remember a point in time where I was able to wear it with mild discomfort for 6 hours or more.
That is obviously not the case this time. I mean, there were moments where I'd be okay wearing it, it would only mildly hurt but it was fine, but then it would go back to pain. It sucked so bad, and I wish it didn't have to be like that. I hate to admit it but I'm glad I'm not wearing it right now, and I'll be glad when I don't wear it at all anymore. It is waaaay too awful to bind like that and I will be finding another solution a.s.a.p., because I REFUSE to go back to school without binding. I'd wear the ace bandage if I had to, even if it would probably be the worst idea ever.
Though I probably won't have to, thanks to me finally agreeing to let my friend help me get another solution, because I cannot see myself being able to live without binding right now. It would be way too wrong and I don't like it. I just hope that I get my solution before school starts or before I really have to go out again, because I don't want to have to use my ace bandage again. ><;; It hurts like hell, aaaand it's a big health risk too. So yeah, shit I gotta deal with right about now.
