Summary: During his mandatory down time due to an injury Tony takes up baking and finds himself working with Bucky on a Halloween surprise for Peter, but Tony soon learns that Bucky has a surprise of his own in store for him as well.

It is late at night when Sam and Bucky came home. The penthouse is quiet, Tony tucked away in bed, trying to get a peaceful night's sleep knowing his partners are away on a spy mission observing a Hydra Base. An easy mission, that didn’t need them both, but the cuts and bruise’s on their faces say otherwise.
The mission hadn’t gone entirely to plan and the Quinjet had to evac them out from the location.
Hydra had always been a pain for them, but since dating Sam and Bucky, Hydra became a whole new level of scary to Tony. They said it would be easy, and simple, but Tony just couldn’t believe that.
Tony had only recently been convinced to go to bed by Rhodey after attempting to stay up for 3 days in a row on a lab binge, worried for his partners, after not sleeping much the week previously, either. So despite how quiet Sam and Bucky think they are, Tony is quickly woken up by the rustle.
Robe on, standing in the hallway Tony faces his partners, smiling. “You know, this is an early morning, even for you two early birds?” He mumbles still not completely awake.
Sam smiles turning towards the wandering voice, as Bucky moves towards the kettle prepared to start making teas to help their wounds. Tony doesn’t move from his spot and instead Sam inches towards him, “We’re sorry, we didn’t mean to wake you.” It’s only when Sam is close enough that Tony realises that the smile is of sympathy rather than happiness, similar to his own.
Tony shakes his head in disagreement, “I wasn’t even asleep,” a yawn interrupts his sentence that makes Sam and Bucky catch their eyes, knowing that what Tony has just told them is a lie.
Bucky does his duty as they all stand quietly in the peaceful silence, something that in the last few months of their relationship they have all come more to terms with, none of them feel as if they need to be the centre of attention. With three cups of tea in his hands he turns back to Tony leaning on Sam’s shoulder prepared to go back to bed. This occurs to Bucky as he hands one mug to Sam, “Let’s get back to bed sweetness, I think we all need it,” and without complaint Tony leads the way to their bedroom, dragging Bucky and Sam along.
They both chuckle softly as they are led.
Quickly Tony takes work of getting into bed and putting himself in the middle, bundled up in blankets and holding his hands out for his tea. Bucly hands him the mug, placing a kiss on his forehead, Sam following suit. It doesn’t stop there because Tony decides that the tea and the large bed aren’t good enough if his partners aren’t with him, “cuddles and snuggles right?” He asks sweetly knowing that they had only just returned and probably hadn’t showered or gone to the med bay. But his partners were here and he hadn’t seen them in weeks, he needed time (and attention).
Frowning Bucky knows that they both smell and the quick showers in the Quinjet are horrible that only really allow them to change out of their uniforms, and the penthouse bath is so nice.
Catching eyes with Sam, Sam is nodding to the bed and Bucky rolls his eyes, “you are going to have to deal with our stink,” he offers, but it is clear that Tony doesn’t mind because his smile brightens, patting the two sides of the bed.
Laughing Bucky and Sam take either side of the bed, squishing Tony in the middle.
“Are these the cuddles you required?” Sam asks moving their empty mugs to the side table and kissing the side of Tony’s head.
Tony just nods snuggling closer, and for the first time in weeks, they all get a good night's sleep.

You could use a WinterIron Bingo square for this event, but you don't have to be signed up for the Bingo to sign up for the Bang!
Artist sign ups would go from June 15th to July 1st. Writer sign ups would last from July 1st to July 25th. Claims would be July 26th & 27th. You would get your assignment on July 29th, and it would be posted the week of November 1st-8th. A more detailed schedule can be found on the interest form.
Art accepted includes hand-drawn or digital art, graphic design, manips, fanvids, and crafts.
The fic minimum would be 3k words.
