also. on conclave again. i really enjoy both the movie and fandoms portrayal of benitz + his intersexuality. when he first mentioned it in the movie i did in fact start crying, and seeing the fandom honor that and still portray him as, idk, the same as everyone else? its neat :)

my silly little sculk infographic!! more below the cut (cw for gore, infection, etc)

so! sadly there's not a big visual difference between sculk simply attaching itself to someone (usually through long periods of exposure) and infection. symptoms of infection can be extreme fatigue, blackouts, sluggishness, violent tendencies while in ancient cities, if someone breaks sculk around someone infected it physically hurts, and the sculk can talk to them. (mostly screaming ^_^). the only real way to fight sculk is with water, as it melts it away entirely. though sculk can ocassionally mutate around it. also, sculk can mutate! if enough of one type of soul goes into a catalyst, the sculk will take on its traits. (zombie souls: the sculk will be more sluggish and less intelligent, if you get infected by it, you may also become a zombie! skeletal soul sculk will cause extreme hunger and nausea, and eventually all of your blood will go into the sculk.) also, if theres any wounds that the sculk can access, itll essentially break them open to get into your bloodstream. it can also choke/suffocate you with the tendrils, which will also attempt to wrap around any of your limbs in order to try and restrain you long enough to infect, though theyre fairly weak. itll also change an infected person's eye color, which is really the only way to tell the difference between an infection or the sculk simply latching onto you. also, if the sculk manages to somehow latch onto your soul, youre essentially fucked. it will spread throughout you inside and out, taking over you entirely. dont try to fight it too much, or you might turn into a warden!
