FMS movement screens are a very limited evaluation if they do not take limb length or body segments into account. This is a professional athlete who is 74.5” tall, has a femur length of 24.5” and a size twelve shoe. Having a femur nearly a third of his height and a relatively small foot scores him somewhat low on his FMS. He is told both his ankle and hip mobility need to improve, but using a goniometer both are outstanding. Evaluate your athletes with more than an FMS before pigeonholing them into functional limitation categories! #FMS #NextLevelCoaching #NextLevelStrength #CoachMcB #MadeForGreatness #AdvoStrong #BioGrip
