I moved in November and was able to start setting up my dream tank !! I’m gonna post all the build photos, bc I am genuinely so in love with it. Enjoy!

Filter Media in the Greater Front Range Traffic Jam?
So I've decided to start a fish tank, and one of the important parts is that once you've got the wood and rocks and plants in you need to give it a few weeks/months to "Cycle" and let the beneficial bacteria colonies that keep your tank water nice and ammonia-free develop. One way to start/accelerate this process is to get some of the filter media with those beneficial bacteria colonies from someone with an established healthy tank, and put it in your own filter. Like a sourdough starter, but for fish.
To that end: Is there anyone in the Colorado front range with an established, healthy freshwater tank that would like to let me have some of their filter media in say... 2-3 weeks? I'll bake you cookies.
It's 2-3 weeks out because I'm still trying to get a stand to put the fish rectangle on that is actually the shape and size it says it is :/. I'll get there when I get there.
After too much drama with this tank it seems it’s stable again. Planted new background plants and we’ll see how it goes :)
