Bird School: A Beginner in the Wood
By Adam Nicolson.
The main cast for my future webcomic, Bird School.
It may not *quite* be what they said, but it’s what I heard.
Y’know which old meme I really miss?
Bird School.
...Which is for birds.
It's that time of year...
canary school + 3: What's your favorite line of narration?
I’m assuming narration here means “not dialogue,” which is probably a good thing to note, as dialogue will forever and ever be my favorite part of any story I write. There’s a few bits in there that I still love, like the Lances going throughout Rome together, some of the descriptions from the drinking, and Sara’s little broody period on her run, but I think my favorite bit that still stays with me is when Sara’s watching Laurel train (while Sara’s nursing a hangover that’s now been Jossed):
She worked away at one of the dummies, striking over and over, half of the time with her eyes closed and the other half watching her hands hit the dummy in the same spot over and over again.
Laurel had always been that way. Quick, incisive, precise. Sara had always liked the sparring more in their junior Tae Kwon Do classes. She’d liked it when things had gotten a little too messy, when the plan was out of the window and it was just you, your opponent, and your instincts.
And of course this leads into them being sarcastic toward each other because that’s also my favorite part of writing Lances. I’m sure absolutely nobody is surprised by any of this.
I also like that the common name for this is Canary School. :D
Hey guys! You might have been wondering why I haven't really been posting much lately.
Well I've been busy with a few things, besides currently playing Lego DC supervillains.
I've been working on some concepts for a few future projects, and I'd like to share it all with you.
As you can see, I've been busy. And I will be busy for a while.
I'm still gonna post art here and I will be getting to some backed up art requests, but now you have a better idea of what to expect.
Hope you're as excited as I am for these projects and stay tuned!
