Thought it looked cool. Tell me what yall think <3
Because I broke my foot this past winter I wasn't able to do much tending to the yard, and a giant thistle popped up over the spring. I've been feeling bad about not weeding it.. but I saw a beautiful yellow bird using it for nesting material, and two bees hanging around its flowers, and I'm feeling a lot better about the accidental rewilding of my small backyard.
Blurry photo because I have incredibly shaky hands and it wimbdy
I did a six-hour round trip to see European Bee-eaters in Norfolk! A rare sighting here in the UK. I managed to get a couple of photos through a telescope.

Extraordinary Day #1
This morning I have seen a wild hoopoe (Upupa genus) for the first time ever. It’s a rare bird in Germany. I recognized it instantly because of the destinctive beak and feather crown. It sat on my window sill and was pecking for insects. Sadly, it flew away before I could take a foto.
The beautiful birds looks like this (picture taken from the internet).
