Let's go for something a little odd... Sumeragi Subaru or Reyson? ~Anonarat

Reyson, actually, he feels like a more fully realized character. Subaru as a character is a little bit flat, it’s his story and everything it means that deepens him as a character.

Although they’re both characters driven to extremes opposite to their basic kind nature by awful circumstances, so it’s an interesting comparison

This is totally unprompted and I came quite late to the Tellius fandom but please, Green and Golden, IS Naesala's mom fine, wherever she is? Did she come back at some point or is she eventually presumed dead? Or has she been gone long enough already that Nealuchi suspects she's dead and isn't prepared to hit Naesala with that right then?

In Green and Golden, I wanted Naesala to have been basically raised by Nealuchi, but I didn’t want yet another dead mother as the explanation, so that’s why i came up with the headcanon of his mom being a wanderlust-struck princess who’s always going on journeys for huge amount of time. She probably visited Hatari way before RD, but she was sneaky about it so nobody knew XD.

I think eventually she left for long enough that she was presumed dead de facto, but in my headcanon she’s fine, she’s just wayyyyyyy away, living the wandering life and giving zero fuck about home or anything else. I actually didn’t think that Nealuchi was lying as such to Naesala, in my mind, he was trying to convince himself as much as Naesala that she was fine (also a bit bitter about always being left with the responsibility).

I like to think that at some point in Ike & Soren’s journeys post RD they meet a random Raven and are like WTF??? when they talk about what happened since she left and find out she’s Naesala’s mum.

I just saw a fancomic/doujin on my dash, and i thought “oh, Herons ;D!” but they were actually tolkien elves.

As if i ever needed confirmations that Herons look really, really like Tolkien elves.
