would you be willing to accept suggestions for more categories on the sorting game?? (i would offer all members of the "groups")
Sure! (and same to @haberdashing)
I've got some general guidelines (e.g., categories should either be common knowledge or reasonably guessable), but would be happy to add more. Feel free to DM me.
first off -- i'm sorry if you've already received an invitation to FREEDOM & LITERACY. i tend to look through my favorite authors and fav book tags and message people inside those. it's hard to keep track of who i've invited so far!
onto my spiel -- i am inviting you to a forum for book lovers called FREEDOM & LITERACY! we're not a book club, and there's nothing mandatory about us! we just really, really love books. if you're at all interested, please check out the link here: https://freeliteracy.jcink.net
we're not a scam, but if you need proof at all, search our name. we're usually about the third or fourth link down. look for the rainbow logo with a white F&L.
F&L just went through a huge face lift! we have a brand new skin, a site store with premium member groups (you don't use real money) and plan to restart our site-wide readalongs soon! (again, not mandatory!) i know a lot of people really, really miss text-based communities, and that's what we are!
there is absolutely NO pressure for you to join, or for you to post this publicly. hell, you can even blatantly ignore me. that's fine. i promise i don't mind.
i really hope that you and yours have a good week, and if you made it this far, thank you so much for your time!
JAY
oooo this seems really cool !!!! i love forums :33 thank u for the invite, i might join !! <33

ANYWAY: i'm inviting you to a forum for book lovers! we are NOT a book club, i promise. there are no mandatory readalongs or anything like that. we just love books!!

i simply want to talk to more people about books, and if it takes messaging individuals, than i'll do that!
anyway, i really hope that you and yours have a good week, and if you made it this far, thank you for your time!
JAY
Thank you so much for the invite! I don’t really have the mental energy to join right now, but I’ll leave this up on my blog for any of my bookish friends that might be interested 😊

ANYWAY: i'm inviting you to a bookworm community for adults. we are NOT a book club, i promise. there are no mandatory readalongs or anything like that. we just love books!!

Hi!!!
At first I was a little wary because of the whole tumblr having bots coming into your asks thing, but given that your tumblr has over a decade of posts on it, I'm VERY MUCH less wary. Also, I love that it isn't a tumblr community (I have no use for that) or a discord, but a
FORUM!!!!!!
That's cool!
hello there!
you don't know me at all, but that's not important. my name is jay, i'm 35, and i'm here because you seem to love reading, just like me! (SAME HAT!!) so i'm inviting you to a bookworm community for adults. we are NOT a book club, i promise. there are no mandatory readalongs or anything like that. we just love books!!

ps the old kingdom series is one of my favorites of all time, ever.
Thanks for the invite! I don't think I have the time/brain space at this point to get involved in another online community (I know myself, and I would not be able to resist going all in ^^'). But I love the idea (especially of the old-school forum style!), so I'll just encourage anyone reading this to check it out if it looks interesting to you!
P.S. The Old Kingdom series rocks ❤️🔥

Hello JAY,
Thanks for extending this invitation! I did check out the link and I may make my way there some day once time and energy allows. Unfortunately, the social aspect of social media continues to elude me. (Or perhaps a more accurate way to say this is posting at all, rather than when the planets and stars align.)
That said, for anyone who sees this and is interested: jcink dot net is a forum style message board, and the freeliteracy forum linked up above is for discussing books that people are reading. Do check out their rules page to see what's allowed or not, if this is something that sparks your interest.
Visiting as a guest, I can't see if there are any threads or categories that may be locked to log-in accounts only, but those are options available when setting up a forum.
Anyway, the board is currently in it's growing stages, and have a monthly readalong/book club list. (It's spooky-themed for October, and they're seeing what people are interested in for November)
