Funny how they call Sovieshu creep for marrying an adult woman or calls Krista pedo for liking birdshit despite being younger/around his age but Navier gets a pass for marrying a literal teenager despite being in her mid twenties.

Since the beginning of april, I was working on a project that had been in my head since before spring break. It was hard to get to because the pace of schoolwork only picked up as the semester went on. But I built up a pair of vessels that I wanted to be all about birdshit. This was sort of an exercise in surface work for me, as glazing is a tedious process that I tend to shrug off towards the end of a project. But I really wanted to test my patience and rigor and challenge myself to make a ceramic surface that srsly resembled birdshit. Most of my vessels are organic, tactile, and figurative or illustrative, so I had personalities in mind. The small black, white, and red pieces are test tiles I made, each with different layers and combinations of slip, glaze, and underglaze. I took notes on each tile and kept track of which combinations were most effective throughout their firing process. These pictures show the materials I was working with.
